The aftermath of the small battle was cleaned up in no time. Since Henry had done his part to clean up the goblins that had snuck their way toward the supplies, he was able to stay back and continue his regular duties of guarding Rosalind and continuing with his usual apprentice work after he cleaned up his shirts and found a new one to wear.
On top of that, he had whispered to the commander that Rosalind wasn't taking well to the sight of monster blood. He hadn't let Rosalind know because he knew she would be embarrassed considering the crush she had on the commander.
He couldn't help feeling somewhat envious when he heard other apprentices talking about the two ogres that appeared on the front lines amongst the dozens of goblins that were there.
Whenever he wasn't with Sir Trenton, he felt that he was going to fall behind as an apprentice and never advance into knighthood. He didn't know how he could prove himself if he weren't on the front lines.
