Dangerous waters.
Yet we still dive in.
Hopefully we swim out alive.
Ralph threw away the already-exhausted cigar he had been smoking and stepped on it. It had been about ten minutes since Jack and his men stepped into the building to get Diane. Frankly, he had felt they would be done in a few minutes but from the look of things there were no signs that they were coming out yet.
"Sir?" Brian who stood close to him called out, he stretched out his hand to offer Ralph another cigar.
"Thank you". He responded as he took it from him, lit it up, and continued smoking.
Smoking seemed to go well with the excessively cold weather of the day. Ralph puffed out some smoke and looked around the neighborhood again. There was nothing good about the neighborhood. It was loud and dirty and from all angles, you could see young fellows dressed as either gang stars or prostitutes. It reminded him of one of the neighborhoods he and Jack had hidden in Columbia.
