Chapter 106 - Invasion

In shadows cast upon the land, An eerie silence takes its stand. Whispers ride the midnight breeze, Foretelling tales of dire unease.

Invasion's cloak, a ghostly shroud, Enveloping earth, a murky cloud. Footfalls hushed, like secrets kept, As darkness spreads, while mankind slept.

Through veiled mist, the intruders creep, Their hidden agenda, dark and deep. They breach the walls we thought secure, Our peaceful lives no longer pure.

Their foreign presence, a chilling sight, An army poised to claim the night. With eyes of fire, they pierce the soul, Their hearts consumed by hunger's toll.

 

Don Belle lay peacefully in her sleep, nestled beside her daughter Chloe. The night enveloped them in a comforting embrace, as dreams weaved their way into her subconscious mind. This particular dream, however, was about to take an unexpected turn.
