Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 Jade's Wrath

The sounds of someone yelling came from outside it woke both Jones and me. I knew her voice too well for this morning and we would have to move quickly to get out. Soon as I looked out to see her standing there with her gun held high as she stood there with Colt and James. They seemed scared about what they were planning on doing. She could burn my home or try to kill me or Jones, but it won't change my mind.

"What do you want," I called out to her as she smiles evilly at me as she held her gun towards someone. I looked over to see Hanna on the ground with her baby in hand. This wasn't her as she would never hurt our friends, or our family like this. I picked up my gun and aim at her with a look of pure death. She pushed a button and was going to learn quickly to not mess with me or Ace's family. He must have been busy when she was taken and didn't know what was going to happen.

"I would put the gun down," I replied as I walked out of the house with a frown.

"You should come back home then," she laughed a bit.

"You know I can't do that," I answered as I held my knife to my side.

"Well, you should think otherwise," she said as I sighed as I moved forward towards her but soon stopped a couple of feet. In one movement I threw my knife to her hand, making her drop her gun. Her eyes froze in fear as blood ran down her arm she looked to see it pieced into her upper shoulder. Hanna took the chance to run towards me with her Emma in hand. She thanked me and ran to the house as Colt and James stood there worried about what would happen next.

"You Bitch!" Jade screamed at the top of her lungs. I was done with the fighting and killing to survive.

"You were planning on killing Ace's family," I replied with a harsh glare, "Bet you just send him off to hunt for supplies, so he wouldn't know where his family is at."

"Even if I did," she smiled, "it would be a death trap."

"What?" I questioned

"The cursed base will be his downfall," she laughed over and over as I looked over to see Jones moving Hanna and Emma to the truck. Jade had finally lost her marbles as I watched her rip the knife out from her shoulder. Blood fell from the ground as I pulled back. I knew that James and Colt would let us leave, but she had other plans. She looked at the knife and smiled as she knew it was Hayhay's.

"Shocked that you still have this," she spoke, "Too bad you won't need it anymore."

I looked at her with a glare, but I wanted to place it on Hayhay's grave. I would have to leave it behind to leave with our lives. Running to the truck as Jones' started it and floored it away from Jade. Her figure faded as we have gotten further away from our old home. The old military base was all that we need to get to was in my mind. Ace was there with hordes of zombies with no help. I knew that both Emma and Hanna can't live without him in their lives as a family. The close we got the sounds of groans and moans came closer.

Fear set up inside as we saw a group of zombies in front of one of the older buildings. The sounds of gunfire came over and over inside as we came to a stop. Brutes banged on the metal of the building trying to get inside. It didn't take me long to grab my gun and look at the area around us. There wasn't much left of the place as Zombies turned the buildings into nests for their children. I remember hearing that zombies were killing anything in their path with animals to other survivors.

The idea of Ace being killed scared me as thought of a plan to save him. There had to be fear for all of them to be hunting like this without a thought. Then it hit me as I realized that the back was completely open from the zombies as it seems sneaking might be the only option. The closer I got out of the car and walked towards the building made me scared. The sounds of someone in pain as I slowly open the door. Ace sat there holding his side with what seemed to be a bullet on his side. They must have shot him and left him to die without anyone knowing that he was there. I soon grabbed his arm and ran for the door in hope that we would make it okay.

The sounds of crashing came right after as I placed Ace in the truck and finally leaving this cursed place. I was hoping that the Wally World base would have a hard time dealing with them as they screamed for food. We were free for now, but for how long is unknown to me. Jones was worried as Hanna was trying to calm down Emma. Ace was still holding his side in pain as we closed in for Willow Springs, but stopping at Mountain View for Ace, Hanna, and Emma to stay at would be for the best.
