Adam slowly opened his eyes to an unknown roof.
"Where am I?" Adam said as he woke up from the bed and looked around.
It was an old-fashioned room that resembled a room in mediaeval times.
Not only was the room different, even his dress was different, as he was not wearing his uniform but a white long-sleeve shirt with brown pants and was also barefoot, all of which gave off an old vibe.
Looking around, he saw the door, which was slightly open.
Adam stood up and moved towards the door with at least some caution.
As he reached the door, he slowly peeked out to see if anyone was there, but to his surprise, there was no one there.
Adam sighed in relief, but he was still cautious.
Then he looked out to see stairs that led down at the end of the corridor.
With determination, he moved forward, with the wall against his back, towards the stairs.
Coming close to the stairs, Adam bent over to look down on the ground floor.
which looked like a bar—an old mediaeval bar that was like the bars in anime and manga where the MC meets some brat or adventure that he or she beats up.
But here Adam saw a man in the middle of the empty bar with a crazy hairstyle drinking a beer.
"Come down; there's no need to be careful," the man said.
which caught Adam off guard as he looked at him.
"He can sense me."
Now Adam was on high alert as he understood that the man in front of him was far more dangerous than he was, and without a weapon, he couldn't face him head-on.
"Come down, kid; I will not eat you," the man said again.
Hearing it, Adam, not having any other option, moved down and walked in front of the man.
"So you are my successor?" Hmm, you look pretty weak, but you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, I think."
"Successor? "What is he even talking about?" Adam thought internally.
Seeing Adam face the man, he spoke.
Kid, I am Endeavour, known by many names, one of which is King of All Weapons and also the true owner of the rings."
Hearing the last part, Adam was surprised.
"true owner of the rings?"
"Yes,the true owner, with whom I should have become famous, died under some circumstances, which you will know now."
endeavour said as he sipped his beer.
"You are dead. Wait, am I also dead? No, I have not even lost my virginity." Adam spoke in shock.
"Ha ha ha ha... virginity. You really care about it." Adele sure got me one crazy kid as my successor.
"Adele? "You know him, the dwarf blacksmith?" Adam asked.
"Obviously I do; he is my uncle and also the blacksmith that made my weapon," endeavour said.
"And also, you are not dead; it's just a spiritual space inside the ring that I made with the last of my power."
"Why did you make spiritual space inside these rings?" Adam questioned.
"Because I don't want my weapon to fall into the hands of some useless brat that doesn't even wield a whip correctly, I seal it with my power and leave behind a fragment of my soul in it. That is me."
endeavour said as he finished his drink.
"Ok, I understand the first part of why you sealed the weapon, but I still don't understand why you left behind a soul fragment." Adam asked.
"Because there is something I want you to do," endeavour said with a serious face.
"What is this 'something' you are referring to?" Adam did not respond to him in respect the same way he responded to his hall of past interactions because they were beings that worked hard to achieve something and he was learning from them without giving anything in return, but endeavour was different in that first he was not giving anything to him and second he was forced to enter this spiritual space, so the treatment was different for endeavour.
Hearing the way Adam was talking, endeavour understood that Adam was a bit pissed off.
"Calm down; there's no need to be pissed off."
"I need to sleep, so make it fast," Adam was now replying without any respect for endeavour.
"Let's go for a walk; I want to show you something."
endeavour said as he stood up from his chair.
Hearing it, Adam thought for a second and followed him.
"Okay, let's see what you want to show me."
Both Adam and Endeavour walked out of the bar.
Walking down the street, Adam started to feel slight ripples in the atmosphere, which made him look in a certain direction.
"Good, your senses are sharp," Endeavour complimented Adam as he walked to the place where he felt the ripple.
in the way Adam asked something.
"Endeavour, why did you seal the ring anyway?" There is no use; it is just a conjuring whip that can shoot out energy projectiles. Not that I am looking down, but is it not already a powerful weapon?"
Hearing it, Endeavour stopped in his tracks.
"Wait, you don't know what that ring does?"
In return for hearing Adam, he was asked a question.
"Yes," Adam replied, as if he were saying the obvious.
"What are they except for whips and projectiles?"
"Except for those,it can change its size," Adam said.
Hearing it, endeavour sighed.
"Sigh. Now I understand why you are not interested in my weapon in the first place. You just don't know what my rings do,but why did Uncle Adele not say this to you?"
Now it was Adam's turn to be left out, as endeavour was in his own thoughts.
"Hey, don't leave me out of this; just tell me."
now hearing the tone of Adam's voice.
endeavour understood that he doesn't know about the weapon's true features.
"Sigh, kid, my weapon is one of the greatest on my planet. Do you know why? Because it can change its shape into 10 million different weapons that I had when I was alive."
hearing Adam was shocked.
"Wait.. wait.. wait.. did you say it can change its shape?"
"Yes"
"Then what do you want me to do for you to unseal it?"
Adam said with new excitement because, after learning 10 million different weapons in the halls of the past,
Adam only had one problem: he doesn't have that many weapons to work with, and now that he can solve this problem, Adam is ready to do anything.
This sudden excitement in Adam did not go unnoticed, as endeavour felt that he was missing something about his new successor.
They started walking again and reached their destination.
to see another endeavour standing against a red-skinned humanoid with two black horns coming out from his forehead and two pairs of yellow eyes on his face.
As Adam and Spirit Endeavour closed in, they heard them talk.
"Why is a demon like you here in his land?" Real endeavour asked the demon.
"Why not? Is it your father's house that I should not be here?" The demon said it with an arrogant smile.
"It's not my father's house, but neither is yours," Endeavour said with a grin.
which makes the demon a little angry.
"You mix-breed dare to look down on I Azazel, the Demon of Despair, and shall face the wrath of my anger."
Azazel said this with veins popping on his forehead.
"Blah blah demon that blah demon this, when are you demons gone? Learn that when you are here to fight, then fight, don't bark," Endeavour said as he pulled out a katana for a bracelet on his arm.
"Okay mix-breed, if death is what you want, then I shall give you death," Azazel said as he also pulled out a katana that resembled the katana that endeavour pulled out but was black in colour.
ATTACK!.
Both disappeared from their positions and reappeared against each other, slashing their swords, which sent shock waves.
"You copied my move," Endeavour said.
endeavour was someone who fought and understood many martial arts to the point that he could tell the origin of any technique just by clashing against it once.
But when he clashed with this azazel, endeavour felt like he was fighting himself.
With a grin, the demon said:
"You never thought that you would face your own technique one day."
Hearing it, endeavour thought internally.
(I should take him seriously) as he released his killing intent with a determined face.
Now that he was ready to kill, he pulled out another katana and took a stand.
endeavour dashed in with his double katana at high speeds, sending shock waves.
closing near the demon, he slashed sideways with both his swords.
ATTACK!
A huge storm of dust was created.
As the dust cleared, Adam was surprised to see the destructive attack being blocked by the demon's one arm, which held another katana that was similar to that of endeavour but different in colour, the same as the first one.
Seeing his attack being blocked, endeavour stepped back.
"I need to move with caution; this bastard can copy me," Endeavour said internally.
as they both dashed in exchange for blow after blow, resulting in the destruction of the neighbourhood.
As they were clashing, Azazel suddenly felt danger, so he pulled back his head before it was too late.
as a cut formed on his face underneath his eyes.
Feeling the pain, Azazel got angry as he looked at endeavour.
Both Adam and Azazel were surprised to see a third hand holding a halberd.
"Kraken Style First Form: Born Kraken"
endeavour yelled as he dashed in with both his sword and his helberd, which was held in the transparent arm.
with the "X' slash and then swings his head down.
This time the demon did not block or pull out any weapon but held his swords to block the attack.
Both swords collided, sending massive shock waves.
But it did not end there, as endeavour's helberd slashed down with so much force that it broke both the demon swords.
feeling his swords break and Azazel pull back, but it was too late as a long vertical wound appeared on his chest.
"You bastard, you shall pay for this," the demon yelled as he charged in.
but for his misfortune, he endeavoured to pull out a shield.
with four weapons held in four separate hands
"Kraken Style Second Form: Shielded-Born Kraken"
endeavour held his shield to take on every attack Azazel sent to him.
Using it as cover, he started to attack from behind the shield with his halberd and sword, causing wounds on Azazel's body.
Looking at his 'now' one-sided fight, Adam asked a question to the spirit endeavour.
"Why is the demon not pulling out any weapons like he did a second ago?"
"Because he is a cursed being that is cursed by the universe."
Hearing it, Adam now felt what an important message his master had sent him.
