Adam McKinnon pov
He and his group chose one of the locations that was still noisy, a large house where incessant spell flares could be seen.
When he arrived, he was surprised, a direwolf jumped in the air saving one of his Aurors from certain death.
The wolf was an impressive two meters tall, and three, was protecting an unconscious lady on the ground.
Quickly observing the scene, he goes ready to fight, but he greets an acquaintance first.
Adam McKinnon "A Lestrange, doesn't surprise me too much... I'd shake your hand, but it looks to me like she's a little under the weather." he does a little probing on the enemy.
Adam McKinnon "You can surrender now, it's not like there's a 3v5 chance" as he knew Rabastan's profile, he knew there was no way he was going to surrender.
Rabastan didn't answer, he looked at his companions, it was unknown what was going on in his head, the man was visibly badly injured, only stable by spells, the fight had probably worn them out a lot, their magic reserves weren't at their best.
Any sensible person in his place would surrender, with his family's political power he could probably get away with light punishment, needing only a few small lies here, bribes there, maybe a political godfather.
But Adam knew the man, he was stubborn, and too passionate to go that route.
After seconds were given, Adam lost his temper.
Rabastan turned to Adam
"I would…surrender…but as you can see…I'm a little…unwell" The man was trembling, his reply was made with difficulty, while his only hand held his wand accumulating a large amount of magic
Adam's instincts screamed, warning him of impending danger.
Deciding to trust in his instinct, he headed for the spell as quickly as possible.
The two wizards pointed their wands at their opponent, the magic in their wands so Dense that the nearby air blew away, generating a loud rumble.
Rabastan Lestrange "Avada kedavra" a green spell filled with fury and killing roared from his wand.
Adam McKinnon "Avada kedavra" the spell that came out of his wand was blue, it didn't contain fury but it was fueled by Resolve, killing his enemy meant saving lives.
Only one would make it out of this magical battle alive.
The two rays collided, with intensity, creating a ball of magical energy between the wizards, a simple dispute more extreme, which magic is stronger wins.
For a brief moment, Rabastan's spell began to take advantage, sending the ball of energy right next to Adam, but.
It is not known if it was the physical condition, or Adam's own magical power that is superior, the Lestrange was losing space as the combined spells got closer and closer to him,
Rabastan used the last of his strength when its was less than a meter away.
Rodolphus pov
He watched in astonishment the duel of magical power, his heart racing, as the large ball of energy was close to his brother, undecided whether to interfere.
Interfering with a spell of that power would be dangerous to all present, and worse its would sounds like a mockery of his brother's resolve and honor.
He watched anxiously, the spell getting closer and closer, feeling relief when Rabastan finally stabilized the situation.
But it was like it was his last effort.
Rabastan was shaking all over as he used every ounce of his magical power, the pain was so unbearable that a part of him wanted to just give up and accept death, but no, he would fight to the end.
it was useless
His body couldn't take it anymore, as his mouth screamed in its last scream of pain, the combined spell hit him.
His body was thrown backwards, breaking through the remains of a wall, falling lifelessly to the ground.
Rodolphus "nooooooo, this noooo… it's not happening… nooooooo"
Rodolphus watches the scene in shock, what he feared most happened, his eyes went to the Man who killed his brother
His body roared in fury and the magic responded, but before he could go after the Auror, He was interrupted.
The Demon Mask, observing the state of Rodolphus, along with respect for his brother, decides to interfere so that there are no two dead in the Lestrange family today.
Demon Mask " Stupify " paralyzing the ally, he holds him before he falls to the ground, and looks at the aurors, one last time using " apparition " away from there.
A man breathes erratically, he just killed a man.
Auror "Mister McKinnon, shall we pursue them?" His tone exuded respect, and admiration for the powerful Auror in front of him.
Adam " there's no need, they used apparition spell, we wouldn't know where to start, besides treating people is our priority" his voice is tired, the duel has affected him, killing someone is never easy.
He doesn't regret the decision, after all that scoundrel was in an orphanage, with bad intentions, he can't even imagine what he would find here.
But somehow everyone was fine and the Death Eater had lost to whatever had stopped them, their remains were strewn disgustingly across the floor.
It made him reflect on the fragility of life.
All the Muggles were alive thanks to Merlin, but nobody was awake, nobody to tell what really happened here.
how troublesome
But he had his suspicions, the woman passed out on the floor, and the wolves protecting her, he tried to approach her but was encouraged to change his mind.
A simple look at the ground and you could see that respecting these wolves was a wise decision, but the interesting thing is that there is a kind of magical energy exuding from her, something unknown to him, it looks like evil magic, but at the same time it doesn't, very strange, he thought he leaves it for later.
He remembers that wolves were smart, after all a wolf protected an Auror when they arrived.
Adam "She needs help from a Medi Wizard" he says hoping the wolves can hear.
The wolves snarled at him, not at all friendly.
Adam " She is a hero, she has saved so many lives, I promise nothing will happen to her, she will be taken to St. Mungus" insists he trying to convince the wolves.
The snarls continued to show that they didn't trust him, that Adam would have to do better than that.
Adam understands somehow, took his wand and brought it to his heart "I swear by my magic, that she will be well taken care of, I will guarantee her safety myself"
The wolves snarled in one last warning but calmed down, they turned away from Rose allowing the Medi-Wizard Auror present to begin first aid.
Adam " You take her to St. Mungus, the rest follow me, the city is still under attack, the others follow me" he calls the others to the problem of the chaotic city
All other Aurors, used apparition spell away from there, they still had a lot to do that night.
After stabilizing Rose's condition, the Medi-Wizard looked at the mess in the orphanage, and used a powerful "Reparo spell" fixing everything, very easily, as if everything never happened
portkeyed towards the Magic Hospital with Rose.
Vincent pov
He managed to protect the orphanage somehow.
He knew the Aurors would arrive, when there was an attack on that scale, he just didn't know if it would be quick or slow, luckily they came at the right time.
He realized many things from this fight, first this world was not like in the books, Aurors were not jokes here.
In canon they fought Death Eaters, using only childish spells, like expelliarmus, stupify, whatever, never anything lethal.
The Aurors of this world, don't play around. The guy used a Fucking Avada kedavra as the first spell, It wasn't supposed to be Forbidden by the Ministry or something.
The other Aurors didn't react strangely to this, so it must be a normal situation.
I think I saw somewhere that stricter laws against the Unforgiven Spells were passed just after the war, or something like that.
Whatever
Another thing, it seems that my presence in the world, has already started to change things, Rabastan Lestrange, was alive after the war, but he was just killed here, he almost died from Rose's attack, not sure if things will follow the canon.
About Rose, he let her go with them, for two reasons: the first was to ward off suspicions that there was another person behind the wolves, the second is that the complete transformation of her soul, it will take 9 months, she will be reborn in that time, she will be much stronger, if this fight happened when she had completed it, it would be a one-sided slaughter.
Until then, she's going to be in some kind of coma, so it's better to stay in the Hospital, and I managed to make that leader of the Aurors swear by magic, nothing bad will happen, but to be sure I have to enter the magical world sooner .
After long reflection, he turns his wolves into ravens, and sends them out to scout the city.
He takes a look at the people in the orphanage, everyone was sleeping peacefully, some smelled like piss others like feces, maybe not so peaceful.
He observes Doctor Beam, who smells like feces and piss, seemed to be in a nightmare.
Getting information about the mages was top priority, he ignores the orphanage people they'll be fine.
If he focus on the birds, he could see the city with their eyes, from above, or what was left of it.
