Chapter 85 - Chapter 85 Favor

Leaving the company after finishing with a few things necessary for the manager, Shung Yun rode on Haru as he headed for the location of the Flowing River Sect.

"To sleep off with a lollipop in my mouth, I must have been more tired after the fight than I thought," he said as he remembered the oddity of his mouth when he woke up, "I really shouldn't experience that again."

Arriving at the overpass, he revealed the token needed to get into the inner sanctum of the town to the guard.

"You can pass," the guard standing at the middle of the overpass said as he remained standing at the same spot.

Only a few meters from the overpass, Shung Yun saw a black flare shooting into the sky before exploding and turning into words.

"That's one unique way to make an announcement," he thought as he smiled at the message revealing the Flowing River Sect's support for the estate to be established at Guzhen Street.

"Halt! State your identity and your purpose for coming here," the lower-stage male youth at the left side of the gate said.

Coming to a stop in front of the closed gate of the highest power in Yuhan Town, Shung Yun said to the guard at his right, "I go by the name, Shung Yun, and I'm here to see inner court elder, Elder Xunqja."

"Mr. Yun!" the guards bowed their heads towards Shung Yun after his introduction.

"Mr. Yun, please come with me," the guard at the right side of the entrance gate said to Shung Yun before pushing open the right side of the gate and entering it together with the visitor.

Seeing several trees lined up at the sides of the road he's riding on, Shung Yun enjoyed the beauty of the environment before having a shocked loud voice destroy his immersion.

"S.. Shung Yun, it's really you," the voice sounded again as an upper-stage male teenager of eighteen[18] came into Shung Yun's view.

"Shung Pan, I thought my chance of seeing you or Shung Jing would be low," Shung Yun said as he looked downwards at his cousin brother.

"I thought you were… Aren't you…?" looking at Shung Yun, Shung Pang was unable to bring himself to complete his sentences.

"Yeah, I can't breakthrough," Shung Yun said as he understood the direction of Shung Pang's words, "I'm here on a deal I made with an elder of the inner court."

"A…an elder of the inner court?" Shung Pang couldn't believe his ears, "what deal could he actually have with an elder of the inner court?"

"W..what deal?" he asked Shung Yun after he arranged his disordered thoughts.

"It isn't something I can disclose to you," Shung Yun said as he sensed the discomfort of the guard through his minutes body movement, "I'll come see you and Shung Jing after I'm done."

Saying that to Shung Pang, he continued moving deeper into the Flowing River Sect with the guard directing the way.

Looking at the huge fence enveloping the outer sect buildings as he rode behind the guard, he found it a little lower than what the rumors described.

Arriving at the high gate of the inner court, the guard directing Shung Yun bowed his head towards the middle-stage male youth on a purple robe standing beside the gate, "senior brother."

"You must be, Mr. Yun. I'm Bei Shin," the middle-stage male youth said as he stretched out his opened right palm towards Shung Yun after he leaped down from his house.

"It's nice to meet you, senior Bei Shin," Shung Yun responded as he shook Bei Shin's outstretched right hand, retaining his habit of adding senior to those older than him.

"It might be right if you call me senior due to the difference between our age and strength, but your status and influence outweighs mine, making it inappropriate for me to accept you calling me senior," Bei Shin said after his handshake with Shung Yun.

"All right," Shung Yun said before pointing towards the gate of the inner court, "when do we go in?"

"Right now," Bei Shin said before turning towards the gate, pushing it forward, he opened it just wide enough for a single person to walk it.

"Who's that with senior brother Shin?"

"I don't know. But for him to be personally received by senior brother Shin, he must have an interesting background to his name,"

Garnering the attention of the inner court disciples who were in the sparring field or just loitering around the surrounding of the inner court, Shung Yun sensed the feeling of competition and pride radiating from them.

"The inner court disciples are really interesting," he said as Bei Shin walked at his right while Haru walked behind.

"I'm sure you'll be more impressed when you come across the core disciples. Their strengths matched with their ages make them monster compared to the rest of us," Bei Shin said as he tried to increase Shung Yun's impression of the Flowing River Sect.

"No wonder the Sect can always stay ahead of the Tanji Family and the Hyuji Family despite the intense competition between them for the past hundreds of years of their existences," Shung Yun said as he and Bei Shin walked towards a circular building having five[5] floors.

Smiling at Shung Yun's words, Bei Shin didn't respond but stayed silent until they eventually arrived inside the circular five-storied building.

"This is as far as I go. Elder Xunqja is in the fifth floor," he said as he stopped a foot from the back of the entrance door.

"Alright. Thanks for your assistance," Shung Yun said to Bei Shin before climbing the whirling stairs at the center of the first floor.

"Four[4] paths to four[4] sections of the second floor," he thought as he looked at the four[4] stone paths connected to the whirling stairs.

Continuing upwards, he saw the same thing on the third and fourth floor of the five-storied building.

Finally reaching the fifth floor, a confused expression appeared on his face as he eyes beheld the view around it.

"There are no paths," Shung Yun said as he stood at the last stair of the whirling stairs.

!!

Seeing an individual sized metal bridge emerging from the porch of the room on his right, he knew it must be where he was meant to meet Elder Xunqja.

Stepping on the metal bridge after it has connected to the last stair in the whirling stair, he walked forward before arriving in front of the metallic designed door of the room in front of him.

"It's open," a voice sounded from the room before flowing directly into Shung Yun's ears without using the air as a medium.

Pushing the door forward by the handle, Shung Yun saw Elder Xunqja sitting behind a table with a chest board with several pieces in front of him.

"Greetings, Elder Xunqja," Shung Yun said as he cupped his hand at the lower-stage elderly man behind the table.

"How was your journey, Mr. Yun?" Elder Xunqja asked as he raised his head towards Shung Yun.

"It was okay," Shung Yun said as he walked towards the chair across Elder Xunqja.

"That's good," he said before pointing at the chest in front of him, "care to join me?"

"I'm only a beginner the last time I checked," Shung Yun said as he sat down on the seat across Elder Xunqja.

"That's better than playing alone," Elder Xunqja said as he began rearranging the chess pieces on the chess board.

"What do you think about the announcement?" he asked Shung Yun after rearranging the chess pieces on the chess board.

"It was impressive. I'm sure everyone in the inner sanctum of the city must have seen it," Shung Yun said as he remembered the black flare that shot into the sky before exploding into words.

"I'm glad you're okay with it," Elder Xunqja said as he moved the pawn piece in front of the left bishop forward, "I have a favor to ask."

"As long as it's within my power, I'll think about it," Shung Yun said as he moved his left knight piece towards the north-east box of the pawn piece in front of it.

Withholding his play, Elder Xunqja said, "I need an inscribed equipment that can increase the spiritual Qi output of an upper-stage QI birth realm cultivator. I can only offer ten[10] gold pieces for the time being due to certain circumstances."
