"When are you challenging the record for your freedom?" Shung Yun asked Hai Yu as he rode beside him.
"After this race," Hai Yu said as he and Shung Yun rode towards the racing tracks.
"Alright. Let me know before you begin. I have a present for you," Shung Yun said before separating away from Hai Yu and going to his track.
"I thought he might cause me some trouble, yet he can't even completely beat Hai Yu," young master Bokan thought as he glanced at Shung Yun.
"All betting should come to an end!" the official announced out loud as the racers arrived at their respective tracks.
"At the explosion of the inscription in my hand, you all will begin. Got it?" he asked the racers while racing his hand holding the inscription.
"Got it," the racers answered as they got into their optimal positions.
Three! Two! One! Boom!!
Whoosh!!
The sound of air tearing apart rang out in the arena as the horses bolted forwards at fast as they could.
"Go faster!" young master Bokan shouted as he ruthlessly rocked the halter connected to the neck of his horse, "how's this possible. How can he be faster than me!?"
"Don't surpass a foot from the wild-horse behind you, Haru," Shung Yun smiled as he savored the ugly look on the face of Tanji Bokan, "he must be going crazy from the tiny distance his horse can never overcome."
"If I can't surpass you, then I just have to stop you," young master Bokan thought as a salvage expression appeared on his face.
Nodding his head the moment he thought of stopping Shung Yun, he gave out the go ahead signal to the one in charge of the traps in the arena.
Whoosh!!
"Hahaha!" Shung Yun laughed with his head bent backward, dodging the tiny shard shot at him, while Haru's fore-limbs were raised upwards, also dodging the shard shot at his neck "entertain me, Bokan."
"Byui Junde would've enjoyed this," putting on a purple robe with a medallion having the image of a river carved on it hanging on the left side of his chest, the upper-stage wine sipping male youth said as he watched the race, "too bad he has gone on his mission."
"The string will be coming next," Shung Yun said as he anticipated the trap that almost caused him to fall off from Haru's back.
"Hold on, kid," Mr. Guchun muttered as he nervously watched the race, feeling anxious for Shung Yun's well-being, as well as, his betting stake.
!!
Twnnn!!!
"Isn't this going too far?" the spectators were speechless as they saw Shung Yun and his mount get caught in the five[5] strings that cut across the entire track.
Having his head passing through the space between the string at his neck and the string at Shung Yun's lower abdomen, Haru coughed violently as blood escaped through the sides of his mouth.
"Ouyang! Are you going to turn a blind eye to that!?" Mr. Guchun shouted at the official standing in the middle of the arena.
"You know the rules, Guchun. No action can be taken until after the race," the official said out loud while amplifying his voice with his spiritual Qi.
Retreating after a second of emerging, the five[5] obstructing strings went back into the pillars having holes on them before spitting out a single string to hinder the fast approaching Bokan.
Unable to continue forward the instant the obstructing strings withdrew from his view, Haru gave young master Bokan's wild-horse the chance to surpass him.
"I can't wait to experience the joy I'm going to feel when he explodes with anger and disappointment when he loses by only a tiny margin," Shung Yun thought with a smile as Haru closed in on young master Bokan's wild-horse.
"It's so freaking fast!" a spectator sounded shocked as he saw the black colored wild-horse catching up to the black and brown mixed colored wild-horse.
"The young racer is going to surpass young master Bokan," a second spectator spoke out as he watched the black colored wild-horse racing beside young master Bokan's wild-horse.
Having four[4] tracks separating them, Bokan eyes were shrouded with blood red veins as he glared hatefully at Shung Yun.
Having his smile increasing the more Bokan glared at him, with blood leaking down the edges of his lisps, Shung Yun erupted in laughter as he restrained himself from asking Haru to go faster.
Slowly comprehending Shung Yun's plan, Bokan's face turned hideous as he began contemplating his next course of action.
Also coming to understand Shung Yun's plan, the spectators were impressed by his generated idea.
"He's forcing young master Bokan to hold back his attacks by having his wild-horse move at the same pace as him," a spectator commented as he grew excited by the outcome of the ongoing race.
"My mount might not be able to continue forward if it was attacked by something like that," young master Bokan frowned as they got closer to the square shaped pike land.
Shaking his head as a signal to nullify the imminent attack after thinking it through, he placed his hope on the one hundred[100] meters super speed race.
"The quality of my inscription is definitely better than what that exiled loser can provide for him," he thought as he rekindled his hope for the first position.
Thud!
Landing after leaping over the square shaped pike land that injured him the last time, Haru continued forward while keeping the same speed and position as young master Bokan's wild-horse.
"Use your low-rank middle-stage speed together with the inscription the moment he uses his," Shung Yun said to Haru as they approached the one hundred[100] meters benchmark, "and stay at the same pace at him until a few fts are left. I want to experience as much joy as I can from his pain and anger."
"Understood, my king," Haru said excitedly as he got the chance to use a little of his true speed.
"This is the moment everything will be decided," Hai Yu thought as he rode several fts behind the two[2] wild-horse racers tying at the moment.
"You can do it, kid," Mr. Guchun said softly as he squeezed his sweaty palms together while watching the heated race in the arena.
"Break his record, no. eight[8]!" a middle-stage male youth spectator rose to his feet before shouting out while indicating Shung Yun's track number.
"Break his record, no. eight[8]!" riled up by the middle-stage male youth spectator who rooted for Shung Yun, other young spectators excitedly echoed out while raising the wine cups or wine bottles in their hands.
"You stupid fool! You better not make me lose half of my wealth!" a lower-stage elderly man restrained himself from cursing out loud as he glared hatefully at Tanji Bokan.
"Now!" young master Bokan ruthlessly rocked his halter as he activated the inscription on the neck of his horse.
Having already crushed the spiritual Qi stone given to him by Mr. Guchun, Shung Yun activated the inscription on Haru's neck the exact same time young master Bokan activated his.
Whoosh!
"Wow!!" bending his head backward and stretching out his left hand while his right hand held onto the halter connected to Haru's neck, Shung Yun screamed out as he enjoyed the wind whipping at his face.
"Impossible!" young master Bokan stared in shock as Shung Yun enjoyed the wind whipping at his face, "how can he still keep up with me!?"
"This!" Mr. Guchun stared agape as he watched the impossible happening in front of him, "the inscription I gave to him can't let his wild-horse move at such a speed."
"Is a new champion going to emerge tonight?" a spectator commented as he watched the closing race with interest.
"Stopping young master Bokan's winning streak just a few weeks before he's crowned the greatest racer of the decade, what ruthlessness," the wine-sipping upper-stage male youth said as he calmly watched the closing race.
Turning to Bokan with only a few fts remaining in the race, Shung Yun grinned at him before rocking the halter in his hand, giving Haru the signal to speed up, closing the deal of tonight's game event race.
