Some humans decided to colonize a new planet, bringing technology and obelisks with them. Their ships, which were made of a highly complex alloy, destabilized and turned to dust before they crash landed. The atmosphere of this planet contained energy that humankind could not comprehend, resulting in the total destruction of the ships.
This destroyed all the technology humans brought with them.
The obelisks, on the other hand, remained fine, and total stability was eventually achieved. They started their own journey, drifting around the planet.
Around 5,000 people survived the crash and embarked on their journey. Things were bad to begin with, but they managed to pull themselves together. This planet was approximately five times the size of Earth and was deemed habitable. Humans developed naturally from where they collided in their own time.
