After resting, Alex starts exploring the shadow realm, looking for a way out. But having to watch out for the oni hunting him down. After a few days, Alex learned the layout of the shadow realm, and there are only a few solid areas where the way out could be, with two being guarded by the oni, one being guarded by two oni, and the other only one, so my thinking is that the one guarded by two was the way out, but when Alex saw the shadow khan from the one oni looking like sumo's, he knew he needed to attack that place first, so after watching for awhile, he learned the routine and patterns of the patrols of the oni and started planning his attack, and after testing my new samurai khan and learning they're the strongest tribe of shadow khan here, he's glad to have them. Looking at the sumo khan, Alex can tell they're the toughest. If he combines them with the ninja and samurai khan, he'll be in a lot better position.
So here he was, after completing his daily meditation to help his mind and body from being corrupted by evil energy, making his final preparations to have a Ninja Khan hunt a demon snake for a meal and cook it with fire breath. Done eating and full of energy, Alex makes his way to Midori, the leader of the sumo khan, and summons ten samurai khan and has them run in as a distraction. Alex turns invisible and makes his way behind them and sneaks into the cave area they are guarding, looking at what they are protecting. When Alex makes his way to an alter and sees a mask with the face of Tarakudo, he knows what it is. Alex thought that Tarakudo was sealed as well, but seeing this mask, Tarakudo must have escaped and stolen his mask to hide here. Taking it, Alex can stop Tarakudo if he ever returns to physical form; he'll be able to seal him. Going up the stairs, Alex takes the mask and puts it in his bag. Rushing to the exit and seeing Madori distracted, Alex moves towards him, shoots out a beam, and turns Madori into a sloth.
"You know, Madori, this will probably be the saddest way to die, and for that, I'm sorry, but your essence will find a home with me, so thank you for your sacrifice," Alex tells the green and yellow sloth as he uses the last of the power absorption potion and chats the chi spell and stabs the sloth in its chest. Alex feels the link with the sumo khan. A rift forms, and Tarakudo comes through with his remaining Oni generals, each summoning their own tribes of shadow khan to surround the area.
"You have done more damage to me then than anyone in history; be proud, human, as you have made me beyond furious. If I were not stuck in this spiritual state, I would be breaking all your bones and pulling them out of you one by one." Tarakudo tells me, with veins popping out all over his face.
"Thank you for your praise. I'm glad I could do so much for you and make sure you, and please make graves for your fallen generals for me." Alex tells him to make him angrier, and he then summons all three shadow khans he controls now to face off against agents from the other tribes. with the new sumo khan acting as the muscle and having the ninja khan flank them and samurai attack the other Shadowkhans when distracted by the sumokhan.
"KILL HIM!!!" Tarakudo yells with bloodshot eyes and influences the shadow realm, making it shake and start moving to hinder Alex.
Knowing he needs to leave before the shadow realm changes and he loses his bearings, Alex had his shadow khan attack and distract them as he flies up and chants chi spell after chi spell, cutting down bat khans that are in the way. The flying oni Kiiro comes at me, and seeing his shadow khan tribe, I'm a little jealous, as flying shadow khan would be very convenient (I really wanted to have Alex have this tribe as well, but he's already too powerful), but Alex's happy with what he got, and shooting a combustion blast sending Kiiro back down, Alex starts moving on his way home. Tarakudo comes up at me, shooting telekinetic blasts at me, trying to stop me. Alex shoots out chi spells at him and flew around him to get there as fast as he could. Getting in the area, Alex summoned more sumo khans to block anyone following him. Seeing a swirling black whirlpool made out of pitch black shadows, Alex made his way to the edge and felt his connection with it. Alex starts concentrating on where he wants to go, chanting his chi spell. Seeing his warehouse appear, Alex steps into the pool, but before he could go all the way through, he hears Tarakudo roar, turning to look at him. Alex sees Tarakudo bleeding from the eyes. He shoots a dark beam at me; it hits my arm, and Alex feels his connection with the shadow realm weakening; the only thing remaining is his connection to his shadow khan tribes.
"Don't think you have won; I'll be back," Tarakudo yells at Alex as he goes through the portal, finally leaving hell's territory.
In the Batcave, an alarm goes off. Batman checks the alarm and sees it's the warehouse he's been paying for and protecting from gangs. Where one of his biggest failures happened after buying and fixing the warehouse and setting up sensors to monitor the area. Batman had gone to expert after expert to fix the Pan'ku box, but even when it was fixed, Batman couldn't open another portal. Talking to Jason Blood, he said that with no connection to the nether realm, there's no way to be able to forcibly open one, let alone open two to save the kid.
After checking the alarm and seeing it's not a break-in but the sensor reading something, Batman rushes to the batmobile, leaving his sidekick behind.
"Batman!" Robin yells out to him and sees him leave. Robin turns to Alfred, who's checking the bat computer he asks."Alfred, what's happening? Why did Bruce leave like that?"
After looking for a minute, Alfred replies, "Well, young master Dick, the alarm that went off is something master Bruce has been hoping to happen for years. You see, before you became Robin, he went on a mission to stop a group called the Dark Hand from releasing a group of demons and sealing them back in their dimension, but when Bruce and the others were sealing the last demon, an accident happened, and a child got sent through as well, and Bruce couldn't save him."
"Bruce failed? Wait demons?" Dick asked.
After explaining everything to Dick, Alfred told him about the warehouse.
"So he's hoping for it to be the kid, but how could he survive so long there?" Dick asks, thinking about what could have happened to the kid.
"I don't know, young master Dick, but I hope this will give master Bruce closure." Alfred tells him, "I hope Bruce will not blame himself anymore for what was out of his control."
Batman arrives at the warehouse and goes in. Reaching the area where Alex was sent away, he sees a rift form and looks through it. He sees Alex getting hit by a beam of energy and then sees Alex come through and fall to the ground. Watching the rift close, he hears laughter from Alex, then crying with laughter, and finally, he hears Alex talk.
"HA Ha ha, there's no place like Gotham with a smell like this. I'm back; I'm finally back." Alex says, talking to himself, when finally Batman walks over to him.
Trying to get up Alex's been living in lower gravity for so long that he couldn't stand up fully because of weak muscles, resorting to leaning against a box next to him and looking up to see Batman.
"Ha, the British guy said you wouldn't give up trying to save me," Alex tells him as he looks around and sees everything set up here and the Pan'ku box he's seen a picture of. "Thanks for that. At least there was one person who remembered me."
"Alex, I never stop trying to save you, and I'm sorry I couldn't," Batman tells Alex as he looks him over and pulls out a paper talisman and points it at him. Seeing no reaction from it, he asks "How did you avoid being corrupted?" (Lol, Batman is still Batman.)
"Chi spell that banishes evil energy." Alex tells him. "The humans there used to use it."
"Used? What happened to them?" Batman asked. "Dead; I buried the last of them."
"What do you want to do now?"
Alex smiled, thought of old man Liu, and said "I'll live a good life, one better than I was living before. So much has happened to me that I'm no longer the same. I've seen too much and lost so many people who helped me. I want to live up to their expectations and repay them."
"How about you become a hero and protect the innocent?" Batman asks me as I look at him.
I smile and tell him. "Yes,"
I thought I could help people who are like me, struggling to live life, depressed, and beaten down by those who took advantage of their being weak and helpless.
"Then I would be happy to help you," Batman tells me as he comes over to help me up and takes me to the batmobile, diving away from the Wearhouse.
