Back at Hailey's place.
She smiled as the words flew out of Storm 01's mouth. "There's something I need to tell you."
"Come on Andy, we just met, you can't already fall in love with me," She said as the wings retracted into the bag.
Storm 01 inhaled and exhaled before speaking. "No Hailey. I lied to you, everything I said... Well, not EVERYTHING." The smile on Hailey's face slowly faded away as she listened to him speak.
"I'm..." He sighed. "... My name is not Andy Sprite and I am not from ColdTech Realm," he revealed.
Hailey took off the bag and dropped it back where she took it from. "Huh," she mumbled. "Really?"
Storm 01 nodded. "Yes. I'm an agent of Department H and I only followed you because you mentioned Jacob's name."
Hailey blinked and slowly sat on a chair in the room. "Why'd you decided to come true? To even tell me that you are agent Storm 01?"
"I don't know. After you said I was the first person to show interest in your work I just felt the need to tell you…" Storm 01 stopped and raised his index finger at her. "How'd you know that I'm Storm 01? I never mentioned it, but you said I was agent Storm 01?"
Hailey smiled and took off the glass she was wearing, she wiped her eyes with a handkerchief and put the glass back on. She then stood up and walked out to the sitting room.
"You already know, didn't you? But how? I made sure not to let anything slip."
Hailey stood next to her robot and placed her hand on the shoulder region. "Greetings Miss Sun. It seems you are elated at the moment," the robot spoke.
Storm 01 looked from the robot to Hailey and raised his brows.
"I got suspicious when you insisted to see my invention. I thought: why would a Weir from the Realm want to see things someone from Zoda made? Or maybe you were a terrorist or an agent about to recruit me. Different things went through my mind until you touched Suuhind," Hailey explained. "With Suuhind I could hack into any device that's 10 cm away. So I did your wristwatch."
Storm 01 glanced at his watch and nodded, entirely spellbound by the trick the red-haired just pulled on him.
She took a quick step back and the robot changed its posture into a fighting position. "Hey, you have no right to get angry, you tried to trick me first," she furrowed, thinking the agent was about to attack her.
Storm 01 laughed and puts his hands up. "Relax, I'm not gonna do anything to you," he reassured. The robot returned to its normal position and Hailey stepped forward again.
"But how did you hack the watch? I don't see you holding any computer or stuff like that."
"Who said I needed a computer or stuff like that to complete my task?" She placed her hands on her waist and raised her brow.
"The..."
"Yes," Hailey chipped in, not even letting him finish his words. "The glass. I used the glass to hack into your watch."
"Then I'll have to bring you back with me to Department H. You've seen too much information already," Storm 01 frowned, putting up a serious face.
Hailey pulled away and her robot stood in front again, just like earlier. Storm 01 laughed. "I'm just kidding. But seriously though, don't let my boss know what you've done. She's a cranky old lady, one stare and you'll begin to question your life choices."
Hailey laughed. "Okay. I'll remember that before I sign the contract to join Department H."
"I did mean the things I said about your inventions though," Storm 01 said.
Hailey removed the glass and placed it on the shoulder of the robot. "Thank you, Andy," she smiled. "I'll still call you Andy because that's the guy I'm starting to feel something for."
The entire room went quiet. Storm 01 could hear the slow drops of water in the kitchen a room away from them.
Hailey's chest was dancing up and down. She tucked a stray hair behind her ear and smiled. "I know, it's crazy that this already happened, I just never had anyone say these good things about me or my stuff, so... Yeah."
"But..."
"Stop," she stopped him. "Let's just keep it this way. I tell you how I feel and you just leave me hanging. That way, I never did get rejected."
She walked over to a refrigerator and took out a bottle of water.
"What about Jacob?" He queried.
"What?" Hailey crooked her brows together, dropping the bottle on a cabinet after taking a gulp.
"No no," Storm 01 shouted. "That's not what I meant."
Hailey's face slowly loosened up. She had thought he meant getting together with Jacob. "Have you noticed anything strange with him?" He questioned.
"I don't know. I told you we don't exactly spend time together. He approached me last year after I presented that robot and said something related to working for an agency, and also offered me some money in exchange for the robot I made. I obviously rejected his offer," Hailey explained. "What crime did he commit to be wanted by Department H?"
"Jacob Marksman is an Earthling spy..."
"Really?" Hailey chipped, and her eyes widened in shock. "I don't believe it. I'm sure I've been seeing him around since I enrolled here," she stated. "Wait, in retrospect, he was a third-year student when I entered ColdTech."
"And?"
"And he is still a third-year student. Isn't that weird?"
Storm 01 turned on the communication device in his ear and began towards the door.
[Found him. Seat 189] Sox reported through the device.
[I'm losing sight of him, I need backup!]
Storm 01 stopped with his hand holding the doorknob. He got an idea and turned to face Hailey. "How long can your wing thingy last?" He questioned.
She shrugged. "I don't know, a couple of hours maybe, why?"
Hailey's lips began to curl up in a smile as Storm 01's idea harvested in her mind. "Are you planning on using it to fly back to ColdTech?"
"It's the reason you made it. For an agent to use it, isn't it?"
"Yes. A thousand times yes!" She yelled in joy and quickly returned to the room she kept the bag.
Storm 01 puts on the gloves and fixed the belt around his waist. He pulled down the rope and the wings popped out.
Hailey smiled brightly as she watched Storm 01 in what she had created. An agent of Department H using something she made. She rushed over to him to fix some things on the wing. "Fly away!"
Hailey was excited. It was everything she had ever wanted and couldn't wait to see him in the sky.
"I'll start working on more wings 'cause I'm a million percent sure Chief's gonna love it," she said, pulling a gate in the room open for Storm 01.
Storm 01 smiled and dashed out of the building. After running a few steps, he powered up the wing. He had a bit of trouble controlling the wing at first, but after a few minutes, he was soaring in the sky.
"Sox, do you hear me?" He shouted over the strong wind around him. He could see the ColdTech building as he approached it fast.
[Storm 01? Yeah, I hear you. Where the hell have you been?] Sox replied.
"Wind up a window for my entrance."
