Storm 01 opened his eyes and breathed heavily. He realized he wasn't in the bar where he was about to drink the tequila he had in front of him.
"Where am I?"
His vision was a little blurry, but he could make out a figure standing in front of him. He wiped his face with his hand. His vision cleared and he saw Sox standing in front of him. She was wearing a training suit.
"Sox?"
"Hey."
It looked like he was in a bedroom. He sat up and felt the soft foam below him. The room was designed simply. It had a wardrobe opposite the bed. There was also another door that lead to the bathroom.
He extended his hand to reach for his watch on the nightstand that was provided to him by the D.H. But he fell on the floor, knocking down the items on it. He felt a rush of ache in his head.
"Err," he grunted.
"Yeah. You should never drink alcohol again," she advised.
He picked up the watch to check the time. "Crap," he yelled out loud.
It was already 7 am. He quickly stood up and ran into the bathroom, unaware that the pain he felt in his head had completely subsided.
"You should take your time," Sox said. "It was Miss Havishma that sent me to call you."
"I need to get out there.."
"You are already thirty minutes late. You'll get disciplined whether you get there or not."
He doesn't remember anything that happened, from the moment he held the cup. He doesn't know how he got where he was now. If not for the headaches he felt, he wouldn't have remembered if he had drank the tequila.
Sox waited for him to clean up and they both headed out. Storm 01 continuously groaned. He already got on the bad side of Miss Havishma and he believes she will be looking for ways to get him.
"Relax, you are the face of the Storm troopers. She should be easy on you," Sox assured.
He groaned again and shook his head. "I guess you are right. I am the coloring of the entire Department H. They should treat me finer," he gloated.
Sox rolled her eyes and continued forward.
"What was that room back there?" he questioned.
"You don't... I don't expect you to know. You were completely out when it got assigned to us."
He raised his brows.
"It is what it looked like. Your space. Your pad. It only opens with your fingerprint. Every trooper in D.H. got one," she explained.
They walked for some seconds in silence before Storm 01 broke it. "Wait. If it only opened with my fingerprint, and you said I was out. How did I get in?"
"Well," she started. "You had only one cup, and then you blacked out..."
"You helped me there?"
Sox stopped and turned to look at him. "No. Not me."
She then pushed a door and entered. She walked over to join Percy and the other stormtroopers who were practicing their shooting skills. Percy looked at him and laughed before turning away.
"Storm 01," Miss Havishma called out.
He turned and walked over to where she was. Miss Havishma was seated on a chair with Ishary standing behind her with her tab in her hand.
"You are late," she started. "I will let this slide. Do not repeat."
"You said we should take a break..."
"I also said to be here early," Miss Havishma yelled. She inched closer to him. "Do not think you are anything special because of the Z syrup. If you continue with this attitude, I won't hesitate to shut you down."
He opened his mouth to talk but Ishary shook her head no. He puts his hand behind his back and bows his head.
Miss Havishma returned to her chair. "Go ahead Blue 06."
Ishary nods. "After running some tests, I found out what powers you got... Electricity."
"Electricity?" he queried.
She nodded again. "Yes. With great practice, you should be able to shoot high volts of electricity with your bare hands," she revealed.
Storm 01 glanced at his hands as Ishary spoke. Electricity. He couldn't believe that a human could have powers, to begin with. Then again, his future self traveled through time to meet him. He began to wonder if the him that came to the past had the power too.
"When do I get to travel through time?" he blurted out loud.
"What?" Ishary inquired.
Miss Havishma leaned forward.
Storm 01 bites the inside of his lips as he realized what he just blurted out. When he first joined the D.H. he went around telling his training partners that his future self told him to join Department H. He was young and naive then, and everyone just took it as child's play.
Ishary laughed weirdly. "Anyways."
She picked up a bracelet and put it around Storm 01's hand. "This should help trigger the powers in you. And also monitor your system," she said, strapping the bracelet around his hand.
A spark of electricity formed around his hand as Ishary strode backward. Giving him some space.
A member of the white team pushed over a dummy to his front as the target. He faced it and made his stance. Everyone there, including the agents of the Storm troopers, turned to watch him.
He inhale and exhaled before shooting his hands forward, but nothing happened. He tried a couple more times, but nothing happened.
He fell to his knees, breathing heavily. "I.."
Ishary looked at her tablet and rapidly tapped on it with worry. "I don't understand. I can't read anything. The bracelet isn't working."
She dropped the tablet on a table, where she picked up a box before running to him. Storm 01 began to gasp for air, and was shaking continuously. Sox and a few other agents ran up to him.
"Stand back!" Miss Havishma shouted.
She snatched a syringe Ishary took out from the box and violently stabbed it in his hand. "Come on!" she shouted. "Not again."
