A week later.
After going through a week of tests from different members of the Blue squad. The agent has finally been permitted to leave the sick bay.
He stood in the bathroom, hands on the sink as he stared at himself in a mirror. His hair was dark and combed back neatly. He wore the newly created uniform that was made for the new team Miss Havishma was to lead, which is to be revealed today. He ran his fingers over the badge on his shirt.
"Hello?" An unfamiliar female voice called out from the main room.
He snapped out of his trance and quickly ran to the main room where he met the person speaking.
"Oh," he muttered.
"Hi… I'm Blue 06," she smiled weirdly.
She had arctic-blue hair which she tied back in a bun. Her eyes were almond-shaped and black. Her nose was short, and a little pointed at the end. Her skin was an ochre color, much like the mellow-brown light that bathed the forest. She stood tall with a book and pen in her hand.
"A different agent, again."
"It's nothing serious," the agent started. "Miss Havishma just likes to be thorough. The more brains working, the better the results, she believes," she explained to him why they kept sending different medical agents to check on him. "But do not worry, I'll be with you for a while."
"What was your code name again?" He asked, already liking his new nurse.
"Just call me Ishary," she smiled.
She walked up to a table next to his bed and picked up a report that was written by all the other nurses that tested him.
"Take off your shirt please," she said after reading through the note.
"My last nanny was mean. Blue 69 was her codename," he stated.
"Huh?"
"Oh," she smiled weirdly, again, realizing what he meant. "She's always been like that because she had it tough."
He dropped the jacket on the bed and sat on a chair. She pulled open the drawer of the table and took out a box.
"She stayed for one night and I completely don't like her, at all," he defined again.
Ishary giggled. She moved back to the box and kept the blood sample she drew from him in it. "I get it, you hate her. I promise I won't tell her," she teased.
He chuckled.
"I'll run some tests to make sure you are fine later. Apparently, in the early stages, the Z syrup weakens the immune system, and the patient gets infected with other viruses. And we don't want that…" she stopped immediately as if she had figured something out.
"I'm sorry. I disturb you with this ear-soaring talk."
"Oh well. I've been getting ear-soaring talks since I was a kid," he replied.
She smiled. "Come on, get dressed. We don't want to keep Miss Havishma waiting."
He puts his shirt back on and followed behind her. For the first time since he joined Department H. He walks through the main deck of the spaceship. When he was a trainee, he never left the training section. Everything he did, his daily activities, was only limited to the training section.
His eyes widened in awe as he took in his environment. Ishary noticed how he was looking shocked and smiled.
"Your first time out?" She questioned.
"Yeah. And it's beautiful."
"There are more beautiful places here in the D.H.," she revealed. "Maybe when we are less busy I'll show you around."
He nods. They completed the rest of the walk in silence.
As they entered the place, Miss Havishma was already there, standing with her arms crossed. She glared at the duo as they walked in before she turned to the crowd.
"They finally decided to join us."
"Apologies Miss, I had some difficulties…"
"Then maybe you should return to the training camp if you are still having difficulties," Miss Havishma interrupted before she could finish.
Coco turned to look at Ishary. He noticed that she was frightened and shaking a little.
"Department H doesn't need people who do not take their job seriously," she added.
"It will not happen again," Ishary apologized.
"It better don't."
Miss Havishma didn't address Coco. She turned to the quiet crowd and started speaking.
"I'm sure you all know the reason you are here, so I'll keep it short," she started. "The D.H. Will be sending a unique squad on an expedition outside the planet, and you all have been hand-picked by me to join the special Storm troopers being created here tonight."
"All this wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for our brave agent who withstood everything the Z syrup threw at him. To reward him for his bravery, he shall take the codename of… Storm 01." She turned to leave, but stopped and turned back to the crowd.
"You have been relieved of all duties today. Training starts tomorrow. Early, once the sunlight starts to shine on Winter Weir." With that, she turned and made her way toward the exit with Electro 28 following behind her.
The crowd yelled in joy. They were all trainees that went through eight years of brutal training. Five years of normal training, and three years of duty spent in the underground for non-candidates of the experiment. During their training, they were not given any chance to take breaks, so it was heaven for them that they received one.
"Miss Havishma." Storm 01 ran after her.
She stopped and turned to him.
"I just wanted to offer my thanks. I'll surely surpass your expectations."
She nodded and mashed her lips together. "You should. I want…"
"And also," he chipped. Cutting her short.
Her eyes widened in shock. Since she began at the D.H., no one below her rank has ever interrupted her while she spoke to them. And for the first time, someone, a mere recruit just did.
"… You didn't have to be harsh on Ishary, I mean. Blue 06. I may have just met her, but I am sure she's been doing her best."
Miss Havishma inched closer to him. Her lips parted before the words follow. "Return to your rank mates agent." She walked away.
Electro 28 waited until Miss Havishma had left before he towered over the agent. Storm 01 had to raise his head to meet his eyes.
"Boy…"
"I remember you," Storm 01 spoke. "You were on the ship eight years ago when I joined the D.H."
Electro 28's jaw tightened. He glared at the newly recruited agent before leaving too.
As Storm 01 turned back, he found himself face-to-face with one of the other agents. She tilted her head to the side, making her short-cut dark bangs fall to the side. She had blue eyes that complimented her pale skin. As he looked at her, he felt a rush of questions blooming in his head. What is her name? How did she end up here? He felt the need to know.
He looked down at her badge and read her codename to himself. "Storm 03"
"Hey," she greeted. Her voice was low but had a little crack at the end. "The others are heading to the bar to celebrate. Wanna come with?" She asked.
"Storm 03, you don't need to force him if he doesn't want to go!" The others yelled out from a distance.
She waved at them, then turned back to him. "Are you coming?" She asked.
