Chapter 32 - The depth of the ocean [2].

Adolf felt his instincts screaming at him to dodge the approaching attack, although it seemed like simple waves were really far from being waves, they were loaded with large amounts of water mana and a second type of mana that Adolf could not identify.

Adolf quickly tried to withdraw but it was impossible, large and violent waves hit his body mercilessly, although his body on the outside seemed normal, Adolf's internal organs were suffering catastrophic damage, they were crushed by the blows of the waves that they seemed to come from everywhere and never had an apparent end.

Gritting his teeth Adolf blew up all his limbs in a bloody mist and that was enough to pull Adolf out of the waves but another problem arose in an instant, now without limbs Adolf was totally helpless as you are taking between 2-5 seconds to regenerate.

But something extraordinary happened at that moment, one of Adolf's legs regenerated which allowed him to move away and keep his distance against Haakon but it came at a cost, Adolf's other limbs hadn't regenerated in the slightest.

Although Adolf's regeneration was strong, he had two major weaknesses, the first being the cost of muscle mass to boost his regeneration and the second would be power, the more wounds Adolf had the more the power of his regeneration would be divided to deal with his attacks. injuries, that was his Achilles heel.

But by practicing and experimenting with his regeneration, he was able to give certain simple orders, one of these was to give priority to a wound over the others, allocating more power so that it would heal, thanks to this, his leg regenerated before his other limbs.

Again the fight was deadlocked but obviously the one who had the advantage was Haakon, he was currently surrounded by thick waves in an area five meters wide.

If Keiran's magic represented the speed and ferocity of thunder, Haakon's magic represented the calm and fathomless depths of the ocean, Adolf simply couldn't see the "bottom" of Haakon's magic, the only positive thing to say the least was that Haakon didn't actively attack Adolf but just made counterattacks.

'I have a higher chance of winning if I use it.'

'No, I can't use it, I've already left that life behind and everything that comes with it.'

'No... I'll use it, I've been lying pretending to be someone I'm not and it's time for me to go back to being what I once was, what I once left behind.'

With that, Adolf's breathing took on a different rhythm, his heart began to beat more fiercely as the flow of blood in his body increased in speed, his facial expression began to change as a deranged smile played on his lips and his eyes widened. they were mad.

Adolf had finally returned to what he once was, a hunting dog!

Before coming to this new world Adolf worked for the Italian mafia as a "hunting dog" so to speak, Adolf like others received only assassination missions but they were not paid with money, alcohol or women but with drugs .

Just as a neat woman could be turned into a sex-loving slut through drugs and other addictions, the drugs Adolf used turned people from normal to bloodthirsty, of course, this took time but considering that Adolf was a hunting dog for over a decade...

With it he charged Haakon again, the latter had his weapons surrounded by thick layers of water that acted as a shield while also acting as weapons, Adolf knew that but he didn't have many options either, he could only be thankful that he current Haakon It was just a remnant of the past.

'But now he's still as strong as he was in the past, in the War Sovereign era?'

Adolf wondered while he charged like crazy towards Haakon, it didn't take long before the exchange of attacks between them began again.

Adolf attacked with every part of his body like a crazed beast that had lost its mind, he also didn't seem to care about the damage his body suffered as he kept attacking like there was no tomorrow.

For his part, Haakon's attacks were more refined compared to Adolf's brutality, Haakon's attacks consisted of heavy and destructive attacks at just the right moments that used the minimum of movements.

Pieces of flesh and bone formed around Haakon and Adolf's fight, being that the flesh and bones belonged to the latter, the blood dyed Haakon's shield and hammer a beautiful but disgusting crimson red.

At this point Adolf's body moved based on pure instinct, he no longer thought of anything other than ending Haakon's existence at all costs, it was like a predator that never let go of his prey when he has it in his jaws.

Boom!

With a thunderous roar, Haakon's hammer smashed into Adolf's head, completely destroying it, it exploded as if it were a watermelon, pieces of meat and brains along with blood splattered everywhere.

Adolf's headless body remained standing for a couple of seconds before shaking and falling heavily to the ground, just like a marionette with its strings cut.

Haakon lowered his hammer and his shield, ending the fight, turning around, he was about to leave when his senses screamed and warned him of an approaching attack but at the same time they noticed that it was impossible, no one could get to him that fast. without him noticing it before so the only explanation left was that Adolf will launch the attack but that was also impossible, he had just exploded Adolf's head a few moments ago, it was impossible for almost any living being to survive without a head and Hakon knew it.

But unfortunately for Haakon he did not know that he was facing an incredibly difficult cockroach to kill, before Haakon could even turn around he felt an extra weight on him and he could see it, Adolf riding on his armor, he only had a skull with some tissues growing on it and it had no eyes.

Haakon looked into those empty sockets not knowing what to do, maybe if he was the original "Haakon" he could have done something with his vast experience but the current Haakon was no longer that "Haakon".

But "maybe" does not exist in this universe, there is only "if it happened" and "did not happen", it does not matter what could or could not have happened but what happened and that was what happened in this case.

The current Haakon was simply a heap of incomplete experience and residual instincts bound together by a great and imposing residual will of the true Haakon, nothing more than a poorly made copy.

Adolf "glared" at Haakon for a couple of seconds before raising his skull and letting out a scream that didn't sound like a human or a beast, with that his limp body fell to the ground like a corpse and showed no signs. to get up again.

Haakon for his part had no idea what had just happened, he was simply going to return to his post now that Adolf seemed definitely dead but before he could take a step he froze and dropped his hammer and shield, they fell heavily to the ground and made him tremble. slightly because of his great weight but that was not important, Haakon began to writhe violently as a sound that resembled a scream came from his armor.

Although his armor did not seem to have any signs of damage, Adolf did not necessarily have to do such a thing to hurt Haakon, if someone could see inside Haakon's armor they would be surprised that it was full of blood that continuously damaged the true body. from Haakon.

Adolf realized from the beginning that his power was not enough to penetrate Haakon's defenses, so after knowing that he opted for a different approach and instead of breaking through his defenses he would simply evade them. Throughout the fight Adolf tried to bleed as much as possible, the more he bleeds, the more chances he had to emerge victorious.

Using all his mana Adolf controlled his blood so that it infiltrated into Haakon's armor through the small gaps it had, it was a slow, long and tortuous process in which Adolf had to put all his focus on it while leaving that his body would fight uncontrollably like a beast so that Haakon wouldn't notice a thing.

The blood was continuously destroying Haakon's body without him being able to do anything, the blood crushing his body with great force as it seeped into the cracks in his body to do even more damage.

Haakon tried to use his water magic to fight against the blood that was destroying his body, but he quickly realized that water could not help him this time, while the water created by Haakon's magic was just that, magic, it was not. something real and instead the blood that was attacking him if it was real and was only being controlled by a skill and mana.

So could Haakon have done something to get rid of the blood? of course, he simply had to use and charge his magic with even more mana to interrupt Adolf's magic, it was that simple but there was a drawback, Haakon did not have enough awareness to perform such an action and thanks to that the only destiny that What awaited him was the useless and hopeless struggle until his death.

Seeing that his magic was useless against the blood attacking him, Haakon's instincts quickly took action, he grabbed his hammer from the ground and charged at Adolf's fallen body, he knew that Adolf was responsible for such magic so if he killed him the magic that was weighing him down would naturally disappear.

Haakon raised the hammer over his head and with a quick and ferocious movement fell with great force on Adolf's body.

Boom!

Adolf's internal organs were instantly destroyed as blood splattered horribly everywhere, Haakon didn't stop there and continued throwing punch after punch with no intention of stopping.

Adolf couldn't think clearly, his body was being destroyed and rebuilt in a seemingly endless cycle, his mind was working overtime while his only coherent thought was to never stop using [Bloodbending], he knew that if he stopped using it would be the end of it.

Haakon's hammer crushed Adolf's flesh, shattered his bones and burst his intestines, Haakon's once neat and imposing but beautiful armor was now drenched in blood and pieces of meat and guts dangled from it, his hammer it had long since been dyed a beautiful crimson red.

Adolf's body was crushed over and over again, his body was deformed in a grotesque way from the repeated crushing, and although the [Chaos Bugs] tried their hardest to repair Adolf's body, the damage was too much. and it happened in shorter and shorter cycles, leaving them with no chance to fully repair all the damage suffered.

Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Adolf's body was crushed and disfigured beyond imagination, no part of his body was spared from this, from the tips of his fingers to the last hair on his head, all were brutally crushed by Haakon's hammer leaving behind just a mass of mangled flesh and bones and intestines, at this point Adolf was simply keeping the [Bloodbending] skill active unconsciously.

The [Chaos Bugs] devoured all of Adolf's flesh to rebuild his skin but they were lagging behind without the help of [Semi-Perfect Regeneration] since it was inactive.

After a time that was only a couple of minutes but for Adolf and Haakon it could have been hours, one of them finally gave in, with his death the fight came to an end, but an end never means that it is a good ending ...
