Amara

The day started like any other,

Amara woke up next to her mother, father, "uncle" and three older brothers. Per their usual routine Amara called out to her brothers.

"Adan , Arron , Axel I'm awake" called Amara gently. Each of the boys opened their eyes revealing their bright red irises.

They looked this way because they were part of the elusive and rare phenix race. All of them shared this characteristic along with their vibrant red hair and tan skin.

"Brothers I have to pee please take me to the outhouse." Amara asked. Amara was the only daughter of their royal family and one of the 9 females in their tribe. As such she has always been well taken care of, however has led a very sheltered life.

" I will take you Amara" said Adan. He got up and then gently picked Amara up. The noise woke up their "uncle" who was Their mothers second mate.

"Going out?" He asked Adan. Then you all go let me, your mother and father have time together" He said to Arron and axel in a sleepy voice.

"Sure uncle" they both responded. They turned and looked at Adan and said "let's go." Although the three brothers have reached maturity and have human forms. They still lived and slept with their parents because they haven't found a mate.This was custom in the phenix tribe.

Adan, who was carrying Amara left the bedroom first and was followed by Axel and Arron. To get to the exit of their home they had to pass through the kitchen and lounging room of their house. Amara looked at her books on the stone table and sighed.

"Brother do I have to study today? I see my books are on the table." Amara asked directing her question at Adan.

"Yes beloved sister you must study although you are a female you are part of the royal family and may assume fathers magic one day you must be smart if not physically strong" said Adan in a stern voice.However his gentle gaze toward Amara made her unable to be mad at his response.

In fact Amara was very smart, because of her bloodline she was born with very strong muscles and even though she didn't work out she was as strong as an unmarked beast man.

"Alright brother I understand I will make sure I study later but is it okay if I go to Nadia's home to play for awhile before I do? Asked Amara while putting on a cute face.

"I suppose that will be fine but you must promise that you will go straight to Nadia's home" said Adan

"Yes brother I will be sure to go straight there." Said Amara sucking up to her brother. By the time they finished talking they had reached the outhouse and each of them did their business.

"Amara me, Adan and Arron have a meeting with the single beasts in setting up your coming of age celebration so we cannot accompany you today go straight to Nadia's we love you see you later." Said Axel giving her a hug. Seeing this all her brothers came to give her a hug and one after another changed into their large, beautiful phenix forms.

Amara had no plans to go to Nadia's house it was rare for her to be left alone without one of her brothers or single males to be guarding her. She always loved the taste of privacy and independence. She decided to explore the orchard where they grow their fruit. As she started strolling toward the orchard she looked around and took in the morning fog that was always there in the mountains. She read in her books that there were other beast-man tribes but she has never met them. She was raised to believe they were a threat to the phenix's due to their special gifts bestowed to them by the beast god.
