Candy's POV
Rays of the sun flashed in my eyes and I slowly opened my eyes. I noticed that some students were still there while the rest had gone into their tents. I suddenly remembered Brian and I looked at where he laid the previous night but he wasn't there.
I heaved a deep sigh and woke Bella up "Get up bitch" I said still mad at her. She slowly rubbed her eyes and sat up staring lazily at me. I hissed and stood up, leaving her in her state. I checked the time and hoped within me that Brian had already taken his bath.
I picked up my towel, ransacked through my bag for what I'll wear today and settled for a black baggy top and jean shorts. I hurriedly left the tent and went straight to the lake.
Luckily, no one was there when I arrived. I was relieved and hurriedly took my bath. I carefully stepped out, looking around cautiously before putting on my clothes. I rushed back to the camp and was surprised to see Brian waking everybody up though in a pissed manner.
From his changed clothes and cologne which filled the air, I could tell that he had taken his shower. I stared at him for a while and got lost admiring the kind of aura he controls and how handsome he looks when he's angry.
He suddenly stared at me and I looked away instantly turning red out of embarrassment. I saw the teasing smirk on his face and scampered away to my tent before he could say anything. I sat on my mattress and tried to calm myself down.
I shrieked when someone walked in but I was relieved to see that it was Bella. She went back to sleep even after I tried waking her up. I heard her greet me but I ignored her. I wanted her to apologize for what she did last night.
She looked at me for a while and instead of asking what the problem was, she suddenly burst out laughing, causing me to stare at her. I was confused at her reaction but I soon got to know why she laughed when she said in a hoarse voice "Candy, there's a spider on that mattress".
I have a great fear for spiders, frogs and snakes and I can't stand the sight of it so I jumped off the mattress screaming at the top of my voice. Bella was still laughing when the unexpected happened.
Brian suddenly barged in looking worried "What's the problem? Why did you scream like that?" he asked in a perplexed voice. I was stunned by his presence and pointed at the mattress for him to see the spider. He followed the direction of my finger and saw the spider.
He looked like he was about to laugh but he kept a straight face and asked "Is it because of this harmless spider that you screamed that way or is there something else?".
I knew that was a sarcastic question so I bent my head, staring at my sandals "I'm scared of spiders, they freak the hell out of me. I'm sorry if I have caused any stir ups". He stared at me for a while before picking up the mattress and he left the room. I heaved a deep sigh and pounced on Bella pushing her to the floor.
We struggled for a while before we started laughing and laid on the floor. "I'm sorry" she said grinning at me. I smiled and hugged her letting her squeeze me tightly like she always does. "Brian kissed me yesterday" I suddenly blurted out immediately we broke the hug.
She stared at me wide eyed with her mouth wide open. Suddenly she howled excitedly and started pestering me with questions "Where did it happen? How was it? How did you feel? Gist me baby girl" She yelled the last part and I laughed at her cute reactions.
"You are crazy Bella" I said before telling her everything and she looked disappointed "Why is your face this way" I asked while looking at her scrunched up face. "He kissed you and you took off close to tears. Are you a baby?".
"It was my first time Bella and I wasn't expecting it so I guess I let my emotions out" I answered in a small voice. "Fuck you and your emotions Candy the crybaby" she said sticking out her tongue and making funny faces.
I smiled and threw a pillow at her which she reciprocated and our usual pillow fight began. We were only halfway through the game when I heard him say "What are you doing?" I felt like that question was meant for me so I stood up and stared at him not uttering a single word.
"Get ready we'll soon have breakfast and then we'll take a tour around this island" he said and stared at me before dropping the new mattress he brought for me. He turned and was about to leave when Bella asked him in a small voice "Are you referring to only Candy ?".
He turned and said coolly "I believe I made the message very clear to the both of you". He turned and left as quickly as he came. "Jeez, he's creepy" I heard Bella mutter under her breath.
