It's been a few weeks since Amon returned to the academy.
"Sire, they're here."
So it's finally happening. Tristan has finally launched his assault on Camelot.
"Prepare the army, get them to follow after me as I charge with the cavalry unit."
"You mean... you're mobilising the Light Brigade?!"
"Tristan's strong and smart, however many it appears he's brought, at minimum a double it. He simply wants us to underestimate him so that we hold back our strongest forces. I want all forces ready in the next hour."
"Yes, Sire."
The General wandered off to mobilise the forces.
I head to my room to gather my armour and sword, but mainly to warn my wife to flee.
"Guinivere, take the children and flee, it's not safe here right now."
"No, if somethings happening I can help."
"I know, nut I still won't risk exposing you to danger."
She embraces me one last time with tears in her eyes.
"You'd better come back to me."
No, I will probably die here. I can't explain how, but I just know this is the end for me. From this day forth Britannia will be in your hands, Amon.
"Don't worry, I will always come back to you."
I put my armour on.
The blackened steel cuiriass with Britannia's coat of arms which consited of a lions head engraved on the front. The steel gauntlets extend over a pair of basic, brown leather gloves. The greaves consist of multiple blackened steel plates going over one another like scales over a pair of dark leather trousers and boots. On my back is a worn in grey cloak made from animal fur to stave off the cold.
It truly isn't the armour of a king. More like that of a mercenary or adventurer, but this is the armour I have always used for battle.
I pick up my sword with one hand and fix it's position on my back. The holy sword Excalibur, it's huge white blade appeared to be oversized and dull, contrasting the intricate silver handle which consisted of a pair of snakes twisting together their lower bodies forming wings for the guard and a single ruby in the eye of one snake at the hilt.
A rather intricate design for something that could have been described as a chunk of steel.
I leave the room and head down to my troops.
(POV Change)
Looks like it's almost started.
"Hey, do you really think King Arthur can hold out long enough for us to get there?"
The Vikings around me are muttering something about Arthur not being able to hold out.
"Lancelot, you know him best, what do you think?"
"We don't have to worry, Arthur never loses."
It has been a while since I've worn this armour and swung this blade in battle.
I was hoping I'd never have to use it again, because that would mean the peace, we all gave so much to build wasn't able to last.
Arthur, don't you worry, I won't fail this time.
(POV Change)
"My Lord, It would seem the Light Brigade are being prepared."
The scout speaks to me in a hushed tone to keep the soldiers from hearing. A smart move, they're known as fearless warriors who are each exceptionally talented, despite numbering only a few hundred they won countless battles during Arthur's conquest. If my men knew what was coming the moralle would drop significantly.
I guess its finally time to show the world what I can do. My summoning abilities may be weak but If that's the case I'll just take over one and persuade the lords of each monster race to aid me.
When the dragons arrive it will all be over. While I don't have an arcane dragon like him, I do have around thirty normal dragons.
"Alucard, I want you and Dracula to leave Arthur to the summoned heroes, he won't kill children. Instead you should keep to the flanks and take out any possible reinforcements."
"I don't know what you're planning, Tristan, but it scares me. I know you, you won't stop at simply taking Britannia for your own and I know you truly don't care for the people or for peace, you simply wish to return chaos to the world."
"No, my only wish is to create a true and everlasting peace. Arthur showed me what conquest and destruction he was capable of. He destroyed Francais because they sought to rebel against his rule and bring chaos. A man like that can't be allowed to remain in power. If I have to bring chaos to the world to make it happen, so be it."
"You're insane."
"Yes."
With that Alucard left my tent, passing by one of the only two reliable summoned pawns, I think his name was Ben.
"I was told you have a task for me?"
I pointed to a spot on the map, a clearing in a forest not too far south of the castle.
"It is likely that the royal family will try to escape, we can't allow Arthur's evil blood to continue living, even if they are innocent victims of his lust. The castle's escape tunnel is located here, wait for them and when they get out, kill them."
"But they're just kids."
"Sacrifices must be made for the sake of peace."
That is what you said, isn't it Arthur, you heartless bastard.
