Walkure now contemplated a lifeless rocky planet, not too far from the battlefield at the center of the solar system. She had been thrown here, but she could return just as quickly. When she was about to do so, something surprised her from behind.
"Yo!"
Walkure quickly turned around, but before she could perceive what was going on, she was hit by 10^30 punches in an instant, resulting in the destruction of her surroundings across 3000 kilometers. This catastrophe also resulted in innumerable debris being thrown here and there, including at herself, which didn't hurt but it was annoying.
What?!
The fucker was still alive, she thought. Ever since the beginning of the fight, she had analyzed his body and made sure that its physiology would not survive that much heat. Then how could this be? Walkure kept thinking.
"That was certainly a good trick you showed earlier. I could not anticipate it. Erasing space with a thought? The last time I saw something similar to this, it was against some pretty heft machines, heh."
Walkure stood up from the destroyed surroundings she was standing on and looked at the wanderer kilometers away from her. There wasn't a single wound on his body, and she was certain that he had fallen directly into the core and made contact.
"You are certainly an annoying individual."
"I'm just trying to have fun, you see. How about we try something different this time?"
The accursed one took up a runner stance, and after building up friction, he shot himself towards Walkure. The latter, which was now gradually evolving to keep up with his speed, took a counter stance, but Rephidim did not reach her. Instead, right before making contact, he took another direction and started running around the ethernal, as if closing her within a tornado. He was fast enough to perform this, but he managed to go beyond.
"Meet my Green Canyon."
The tornado, which was already Category 5 right when he started running, managed to go past that and broke the law of physics. It turned big enough to reach outside the atmosphere of the planet, and even the celestial object itself started to crumble into the strong winds of this event. The planet, which wasn't a planet anymore, was now a bunch of debris flowing through the gusts of a planet-sized spherical hurricane, with only the core at its center.
Walkure, who was standing right on the surface of the core, saw this event silently. Nothing significantly threatful to her existence had happened yet.
"Now, be crushed under the cosmic gust."
Rephidim, who happened to just left the sphere, watched it as the hurricane started to enclose itself. The wind sphere got smaller and smaller...at this turn, it was eventually going to crush Walkure at the center, including the core. And so it did. This resulted in a massive explosion that shot winds and magma in all directions, and with a light that would blind most species on the spot.
At the center of it all, a figure could be seen holding a sword. Rephidim watched in awe.
"Not even a scratch, eh?"
Walkure was standing triumphantly, with not a single wound on her body. She could not be harmed by extreme temperatures or neither extreme cold. Such was the wonders of an ethernal.
Next, she pointed the sword at the flying wanderer, which was currently millions of kilometers away from her.
"You speak too much.
"Right after Walkure said this, she instantly appeared behind Rephidim, a deed that caught him off-guard. He could not anticipate it, and before he could counter it, Walkure, who was still slower than him, somehow managed to act first.
"This is the dance of the blade that dictates justice."
It was as if he was bathed in a hurricane of instantaneous slashes. Rephidim was immediately cut across his entire body. There wasn't a single spot that wasn't targeted by her blade. And it all happened in a single moment. Each and every cut would sever down to the smallest sub-atoms, protons, neutrons, and electrons.
Her current blade, Viktoria, could sever through causality and make it so that the effects happened before the cause, allowing Walkure to successfully hit Rephidim first despite being slower. She had to carefully limit the extent of this ability to herself only, as the accursed ones' nature would just negate the effect if it was aimed at them directly.
However, something abnormal seemed to be happening...Rephidim's body, which should have been cut into trillions of pieces, was intact. His body was enveloped by an extremely thin yellow layer, acting as a sort of outer skin.
"Phew...you almost got me indeed. Fortunately for me, Awis got it just in time."
Behind Rephidim, a feminine figure could be seen. It was another accursed one, called Awis, a female with red eyes and short black hair, wearing what seemed to be a white Japanese kimono, covering all but her head. Her hand was doing a hand sign that represented Ram, and she was shining in yellow light. All the damage that was imposed on Rephidim's body seems to have been entirely mitigated by a yellow barrier, which ended up being her doings.
"I am the shield of the accursed ones, Awis. Displeasure to meet ya."
The following battle would now be a 2 v 1. Walkure seemed to be at a heavy disadvantage.
