With the mightiest of wills, Venus made war with the Hex that were so present.
So strong was her will, that it could define the laws of local reality and bend logic to her benefit.
"Is this the first time you see an ectocausal that isn't yourselves?"
The Hex found her existence completely incomprehensible. There lay a being that defied cause and effect just like them, something that did not make sense and went against every principle. But that would not stop them from attacking. Anything that could be a threat to their Dataspace was destined to be deleted from the Material Substrate as soon as possible, no matter who or what was. And so, they kept attacking.
From her hand, Venus created a sword. It was axiomatically shaped like [SEVERANCE], and with it, she split half of the present spacetime in half, greatly damaging all of the five beyond recovery.
The Hex, who could also regenerate from being forcefully configurated into deletion from reality, could, in fact, not.
Spacetime and causality should have been their safe room. Their playground. Completely theirs to influence and exploit.
Yet, there was someone else doing the same, and on a level that perplexed even them.
"Let it be known that the one who stands before you has seen death itself and overcame it. You, cowards, who decided to turn yourselves into machines to circumvent the limits of mortality, shall never compare!"
Then, she swung her sword and caused a crescent wave, annihilating truths and principles that did not meet her liking.
The Hex tried to fight back with the best weapons they had. But it proved futile, and they were thus shaped into [WERE].
The victory of this battle was ours, but the war had just begun.
