Knowing that the Hex could potentially be in our shadows, we fled to the edges of the universe, in a lonely galaxy mostly devoid of activity. There, I could find the material I need.
The planet's name is HORUS, a moderately big one, around 100 million kilometers in diameter, and also extremely radioactive to impossible degrees (10 million mSv). Fortunately, radiation has no effect on me. Etherians could live inside both a neutron star and a supermassive black hole for eons.
After entering the planet's atmosphere, I stopped APOLLO and teleported to HORUS' surface. Given APOLLO's new technology, it was possible to teleport from the ship into a nearby celestial body, and likewise return from it the same way.
The planet is lifeless, as one would expect. No signs of either fauna or flora. It is filled with pools of acid that could melt most materials in moments.
"SHARP, search for underground ores. They should be the only ones in this place."
SHARP, with its equipped X-Ray Visor, traveled across the surface of HORUS while scanning the ground below. Its sensors would detect any ore within a depth of 2000 kilometers.
In the meanwhile, I would search in a place SHARP could not enter without destroying itself. The core.
From my Warp Cube, I picked up a blue gun and shot a blueish laser beam at the surface while at the same time jumping into it, carving my entrance into the underground continuously. This process took no longer than 5 minutes.
As I kept descending, the radiation skyrocketed. When I reached the beginning of the core, it had already reached 100 million mSv. But this was of no relevance to me. The ore I needed at the moment, called ERM-33, is a special kind of radioactive green crystal that is immune to changes that violate space-time. With it, I could build a weapon and armor to supersede the Hex.
This core is mostly made of radioactive green metal, and records from this sector of the universe tell us that it was previously found in this solar system.
I then materialized a highly vibrational antimatter sword, and with it, I carved through the giant core.
