Now that we have got some upgrades recently, let's put them to test.
"SHARP, activate hyperspace travel."
KUR was located in a different universe than the one we were currently in. Since it was beyond the reach of this space-time continuum, conventional space travel would not help. This is due to the dimensional separation between each universe. Each universe is its own four-dimensional space-time continuum, a timeline, and there were many of them. As much as 10^900, to be more specific. This wide multiverse is what we call Material Substrate.
To traverse into another timeline meant to escape beyond the bounds of spacetime and reach the void outside the universe. Think of it like a bridge that acts as the path one has to cross to reach the next nearby universe. If you leave a universe, you'll find yourself in a void, the bridge, until you keep flying until you reach yet another universe, and so on, like a higher-dimensional net.
Tridimensional beings can only move on three axes, while four-dimensional can move on four axes. This principle extends to other higher dimensions as well. No matter how fast a tridimensional being is, it would never suddenly be able to move into another axis, even if its speed was infinite.
The hyperspace travel was for this very purpose. To enable a higher-dimensional movement beyond the usual three dimensions to reach into other continuums embedded into the vast void.
APOLLO then activated the hyperspace travel and we took off. It took no more than an instant to exit this world. Soon after we were faced with boundless darkness in all directions. The darkness was so pure, that there was no way to tell where was up, down, left, or right.
However, if I focused my vision a bit, it was possible to see extremely tiny white lights in the immense depths of this void.
[Those must be other faraway universes. Beautiful isn't it?]
APOLLO was in autopilot mode since it was nigh impossible to navigate within a pitch-black realm with no sense of direction and beyond the comprehension of tridimensional entities. It wouldn't take long to reach our destination.
And so, we waited.
