Chapter 17 - #17

In the face of the Dharzir marauders, the remaining four huntsmen couldn't merely accept the brutality they had endured. The marauders, responsible for the murder and butchering of many, left the warriors, women, and children in constant fear. It was an injustice that demanded retaliation.

Krervel, Chezaan Drivrua, and Ovduk moved through the unified encampment with the determination of bloodletters. The air was thick with tension as the Dharzir women and children hurriedly cleared a path, aware that these four males sought revenge. Krervel, now the second huntsman since Zobi's rise, scanned the encampment, seeking three specific males who had eluded him on the battlefield.

As Krervel approached a group of Dharzir females, he suddenly halted, dropping his crude bow and taking a step forward. In a swift sequence, he unleashed a blood-curling challenge yell, signaling his intent to face a significant opponent.

A large male, flanked by two others, confronted Krervel, a smirk on his face. ~I've been waiting for this, you hunt...~

His words were cut short as Krervel, like a savage animal, leapt forward, engaging in a fierce battle. Memories of his family's massacre fueled Krervel's ferocity.

Despite Krervel's relentless attacks, the larger male remained defiant, taunting him.

~nice nice when I kill you it with be a worthy death~

~you animal I remember you~

Krervel was like a savage animal as he pounced again the larger male still laughing as his large and tree truck sized legs pushed up just as krervel fell the force pushed the younger males chest plate in and went him flying backwards a trail of blood leaving his mouth.

he stood over krervel in his war club resting on the young males chest. His eyes daring the others.

The other huntsmen hesitated, uncertainty clouding their faces. It was a moment of reckoning, and as Krervel fell, battered and bloodied, the marauder gloated over him.

~is that all~

In the shadows, Hen're'it, with feline-serpentine eyes, observed the scene, her tongue slithering from between her lips growing longer and longer anything it touched was rapidly consumed However, she held back, sensing her life mate, and withdrew as her attention shifted.

Geo'rgge and Zobi, standing together, witnessed Krervel's struggle.

~now Zobi what do you do show you are the head of these former warring tribes~

Zobi's stoic demeanor shifted as the challenge unfolded.

~The marauders attacked us many moons ago they butchered men and women and children krervels family were all taken, my my~

When did he start speaking why did he.

~They will not take anything else from me or our people.~

The marauder's arrogance sparked a transformation within Zobi, a release of pent-up emotions, it was as if months of struggle had finally been removed his body underwent s change and that's what Geo'rgge suspected.

As he watched he thought

' Alot of what they were revolved not around their basic drives but their emotional control. The genetic codes within them seemed to resonate and change based around some emotional need.'

But how did he know this why did he know this as his mind began to wander Zobi moved the sudden boom of his first step The earth shook with his determination, and as the marauder prepared to strike Krervel down, a monstrous force intervened.

A hand grip his face with such force, that same hand would drive his head into the ground and push as he laid there he would feel a great weight on his chest.

He would try to move but the weight was something he couldn't move his eyes drifted up and what awaited him was not a male but a monster.

The eyes that stared back were as red as blood the feeling of death a feeling he and many of his kind experienced every day but this feeling, thid feeling melted away his strength, took his hatred and turned him back.

Zobi, with eyes as red as blood, revealed a strength beyond the physical.

~i will say this once marauder I am Zobi the leader of my people and now your people. I like him like so many others remember that night the night you and Your tribe came we lost so much~

Zobi looked up all eyes watched him this moment this is what the great god spoke of.

~ HEAR ME DHARZIR, HEAR ME SKELKIN HEAR ME MY PEOPLE. MANY MOONS AGO THIS MALE AND MANY OTHERS CAME AND TOOK SO MUCH MATES, BLOOD LIFE ,OLD LIFE...~

The pained expressions across the skelkin tribes face said it all.

~THEY CAME AGAIN IN FORCE SND THR GREAT GOD AND GODDESS SIDED WITH US. LET THIS MOMENT BE A WARNING WHAT ONCE WAS DHARZIR IS GONE AND WITH THAT BLOODLETTING IS ABOUT THE BETTERMENT OF US NOT JUST SURVIVAL~

Turning to Hen're'it, Zobi offered the marauder as an offering to the great goddess, acknowledging the hunger within her.

~GREAT GODDESS THIS MALE I CAN FEEL YOUR HUNGER PLEASE ACCEPT HIM AS OFFERING~

Turning to Hen're'it, Zobi offered the marauder as an offering to the great goddess, acknowledging the hunger within her.

Hen're'it smiled brightly.

Offerings offerings are good she thought.

The tribal dynamics shifted, and Geo'rgge recognized the essence of growth within Zobi and his people.

This is how your people survive he thought
