Chapter 23 - #23

As Geo'rgge devoured the heart, an eerie transformation swept over him. Falling to his knees, a primal yell erupted from the depths of his being. The unsettling cry reverberated through the landscape, giving pause even to the surviving Ghezzak, whose primal minds hesitated in their steps, uncertain whether to face or flee from the source of such a fear-inducing scream.

Upon crashing into the ground, Geo'rgge's body underwent a rapid and astonishing metamorphosis. His very essence, from his physical form down to the core of his codex, was changing at a pace that exceeded even his wildest imagination. Within his DNA, spirals formed, orbs of various colors combined and assimilated, marking a transformation beyond the limits of comprehension.

Amidst this surreal spectacle, a lone Ghezzak assaulter, covered in a hardened layer that appeared as skin, moved forward. Closer inspection revealed it wasn't skin but a shell, a result of a lifetime spent hunting smaller creatures and insects. The shell along its back began to buckle and crack as a stinger rapidly formed. Without understanding why, the Ghezzak felt an instinctual urge to unleash the stinger.

Hen're'it watched, knowing this creature was moving, yet feeling that it wasn't her place to intervene. Her life mate needed to expand his mindset and step into her world. Little did she know the profound changes unfolding within him.

As the stinger shot forward, Geo'rgge's hand reached up, catching the stinger point inches from his head. The tensing of muscles, now tripled within his transformed body, crushed the stinger. The Ghezzak howled in pain, attempting to strike with its hands, but they too were undergoing a metamorphosis, breaking bones and tendons as they transformed into pinchers and claws resembling those of a scor'pon.

Against any other opponent, this change would have been a fatal downfall, but the man facing the Ghezzak was now more akin to a god than ever before. Geo'rgge, with unparalleled speed, released the stinger and swiftly dismantled the Ghezzak's changed form, reducing it to unconsciousness and a human state. Above the defeated creature, Geo'rgge held the codex suspended in the air.

"~HEAR ME, GHEZZAKS! YOU HAVE AWAKENED THE WRATH OF THE GREAT GODDESS AND THE GREAT GOD. YOU DARE TO TAKE, AND I SEE IT IS NOT ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT; THE CHANGE THAT BEFELL YOU BROUGHT OUT YOUR TRUE NATURE.~"

Hen're'it smiled. Yes, my life mate, it is time.

Geo'rgge surveyed the Ghezzaks around him, frozen in a state of shock, wonder, and fear. The impending pain for their transgressions loomed, and Geo'rgge, holding out his hands, commanded the atomic and genetic layers of the world to bend to his will. Ripping them apart genetically, the pain they experienced paled in comparison to what was to come.

This day would be marked as the first time the great god and goddess showed that they were not without spite, their formidable powers exacting a toll for the transgressions committed against them.
