Chapter 14 - #14

The boy clenched his chest, hunched over, eyes wide, sweat rolling off his skin—an unfamiliar sensation coursing through him. His gaze dropped low, almost concealing his eyes, and he slowly stood up, a mysterious smile playing on his face.

"Thank you, woman. This gripping coldness is something I have never felt before and something I will never feel again," he uttered, his eyes shimmering faintly.

Before anyone could react to the boy's intent, he moved with an uncanny swiftness, appearing above her. His tiny fist darted out, and those who sensed his intentions would've attempted to escape, however the woman he dared challenge has other ideals.

She, nearly finishing her meal, heard the boy's proclamation. "Never feel again?" As his fist aimed for her, her head gracefully moved to the side, and her body pivoted, spinning around him. Her hand rose up, crackling with energy, and the moment it touched his shoulder, his body surged with pure lightning.

In that instant, as he remained stuck in his motion, the overwhelming grip of fear overcame him. He realized his error, acknowledging that even if he stood above his tribe, there were others above him. Understanding the intricate elements, she could manipulate them precisely. The Dharzir lord experienced the equivalent of a lightning bolt striking him.

His agonizing screams echoed across the lands, reaching even those far away. As his charred body fell to the ground, she stared down at him.

"Who said you would never experience that feeling again, boy?"
