Chapter 8 - #8

Delmok, the most feared warrior of his tribe, lay defeated with a single blow from the mysterious male. Zobi couldn't comprehend the terror as the female devoured Delmok, a sight that left him shaken to the core.

Hen're'it burped, absorbing Delmok's memories and emotions. "My shining moon," she mused, reflecting on Delmok's strength and feats. The tribe had lost its champion, and fear gripped Zobi and his companions.

Geo'rgge, turning to Zobi and the others, contemplated their next move. "Zobi, what do we do? Delmak was our champion, and we saw him die in moments!"

Zobi, usually composed, felt the weight of the situation. "Khoh, we must unite and face this challenge. Delmak's absence leaves us vulnerable."

As Zobi observed the formidable male and female, he pondered the tribe's beliefs about higher beings. He cursed Delmak for disrupting their order and had plans for tribal leadership now shattered.

"Great higher beings," Zobi began, but he was interrupted.

"Delmak was your peoples' best and most feared," the female spoke, "now that he's dead, your tribe is at risk of enslavement."

Zobi, shocked, realized the severity of the situation. Hen're'it, amused, spoke to him.

~zobi I killed delmak when I devoured him did I not?~

Zobi swallowed hard nodding.

~means as your tribes champion his title and all that it entitled comes to me?~

They all stood dumbfounded she she was right she killed zobi and in doing so became the champion and.

claimed Delmak's title as champion.

Zobi, desperate, fell to his knees. "Great god and his mate, come to our village. Show my father all, and you'll have my people's love and loyalty."

Hen're'it giggled, considering Zobi's plea. "Can we, my life mate? I am having fun playing a god."

Geo'rgge laughed. "~Zobi, your great gods have heard your pleas. Delmak did not pass our test, but you, young Zobi, may have saved your entire tribe.~"

As Zobi's world shifted, the newfound gods contemplated their impact on the tribe. The tale of Delmak's fall and Zobi's plea echoed in the village, marking the beginning of a new era.
