The night was cold and dark, the moon shining brightly, illuminating the land with what little light it was able to provide. Stars glimmered and seemed to twinkle in the vast darkness in the night sky above. A woman lied on bed, breathing heavily, her stomach was massive from her pregnancy, having a baby within her womb. This woman is no human. She is an upper-rank demon and member of the twelve kizuki. A demon by the name of Daki. But even for an upper-rank demon, the immense pain in her abdomen was nearly unbearable as she screamed, feeling another contraction as her baby was now in the process of exiting her body. She feels as though she is being ripped in two from each push, having to squeeze the hand of her older brother Gyutaro who stands beside her, holding her hand to give her as much comfort as he can. "Oh god, this fucking hurts!" She screams again in a mix of anger and agony. All that she wanted at this moment was for her pain to end and this whole night to be over quickly. "How much longer?!" Daki shouted at her brother. He wasn't upset by her outburst as this is normal for women in this situation to accidentally lash out due to the pain. Looking down at her he could see the head of her soon-to-be baby showing itself. "Not much longer now sis. I can see the head now, just one more good push." Daki nodded and squeezed her brother's hand tightly, letting out one final agonized scream as she feels her baby finally exit her abdomen. Gyutaro and Daki both smile knowing that she did great and powered through her pain. However, her smile slowly begins to disappear. She expected to hear the sound of her infant crying. But instead, all that could ne heard was the sound of the gentle breeze outside of her window. Gyutaro and Daki sat there for several minutes, both hoping that they would hear something, even so much as a soft whimper, but there was nothing. In that time, Daki felt as if her world had come crashing down around her, tears forming in her eyes. "M-My baby....." She looked up at Gyutaro who looked back at her with sorrow in his eyes, the two embracing each other as Daki sniffled, allowing her sadness to wash over her. But suddenly, they both hear a sound that made their hearts soar. The sound of soft whimpering. Daki looked down, seeing her baby covered in blood, beginning to cry softly. Gyutaro gently picked him up, smiling at his nephew. "I'll go and get him washed up sis." Daki nods and lies down, feeling the pain begin to subside slowly. She smiles knowing that she would soon get to hold her baby boy in her arms. Despite all the pain she went through, it was all worth it. Several minutes passed by before Gyutaro returned holding his nephew in his arms, swaddled in a blanket. He smiled and gently handed him to Daki who held him in her arms, smiling lovingly at her newborn son. She gently kisses his head, making the child smile slightly in his sleep while he snuggles into her warmth, his head resting against her chest. Daki giggles and boops his nose. Her baby giggles in response, grabbing her finger and nomming on it while cooing softly. "Hmmm, what am I gonna name you little one?" She spoke to herself. "Something beautiful, cute, and something that suits you." She thought about many names that she found fitting before making her final decision. "I'll name you....Shichi!" Ske smiles and hugs her baby boy, holding him close to her chest and kissing his head while Gyutaro chuckles at the adorable interaction and ruffles his hair. "Welcome to the world squirt. Don't worry, your uncle Gyutaro will always be here for ya." Daki giggles, looking at Shichi with a loving smile and says. "And so will mommy."
