As soon as they entered the warp, the ground beneath them started to quiver, and words started to appear in front of their eyes.
[ You entered The Constellation Of Arawn ]
Then it started to shine.
[ There are four trials.]
[Choose your trial, then get started. ]
[There can only be one subject in each trial ]
Four gates then started to materialize.
A few phrases were etched into each door.
[ First Gate - Easy ]
[ Second Gate - Hard ]
[ Third Gate - Insane ]
[ Fourth Gate - Hell ]
What's going on here suddenly?"
"I believe it is instructing us to select a gate and enter?"
The two party members talked while inspecting the four doors.
"You may only select once."
Four gates.
A chamber could only be entered by one person at a time, and these kinds of trials could not be repeated.
The door no longer has any impact once someone enters the room.
Additionally, it was not feasible to pass one trial and then attempt another.
The four trials were still intact because nobody had ever reached the statue before this time.
Ricky was thinking hard.
The precise traits of each of the Evil Gods are used to select the trials.
Treasures can always be located in locations where the Constellation is located.
However, each Constellations has different trials.
Normally, the approach would depend on the Evil God's unique traits.
The struggle to gain the Book of Samhain was about darkness and emptiness.
In the end, people succumb to darkness, resulting in more than a thousand casualties.
But then again...
Arawn.
He's one of the most mysterious Evil Gods.
Aside from knowing he's a former human and The Evil God of Fear and Terror there was no additional information available.
He was never seen, not even during the Great Calamity when the Demons were annihilating humanity.
There are also a few Evil Gods who didn't appear but Arawn is the most mysterious of them all.
There were a few traits present that didn't fit the stereotype of Evil Gods, but since he had never met Arawn, he was powerless to change them.
In any case, he had to think that the trials had something to do with his name since these were the traits used to describe Arawn in literature.
"Will there be incentives in each trial, after each of the four trials has been completed, or, if not, will the reward be buried in only one trial?"
There was currently no way to know.
"Somehow, I feel uneasy. I, I'm not going in."
Eventually, a man raised a white flag.
Woooooshhh.
The sounds and the aura emitted from the gate were without a doubt able to stimulate fear in humans.
Unless you were quite courageous, you wouldn't even think about opening a door.
Since Ricky was used to these situations, he wasn't very affected, but to those whose lives were the most precious to them, it was an obvious choice.
"Mister, can I go in there?"
The momentary hush was broken by Catherine.
Ricky was surprised by her but he didn't show it.
" You're incredible "
She was the physically weakest and the youngest.
Only because of her fast thinking and decisiveness was she able to survive.
He didn't anticipate her taking chances because she was with her brother, but she was the first to say she would be trying one of the doors.
She chose the hard difficulty trial.
Nobody is aware of what awaits you inside the door. Is there a particular reason you selected this door? "
"Just... because. I'm not sure. I simply believe I should go through that gate."
She made a profound head bow.
She appeared to be unable to articulate herself.
"A sensation. Or a feeling."
It was challenging to determine why just Catherine experienced those feelings.
" Maybe this is some kind of destiny. "
But that didn't seem to be a coincidence.
It is not a trap.
If it was, they would never have chosen Catherine as their target.
It makes sense that they would try to isolate Ricky, who is the strongest person present.
Even if they targeted Catherine, it wasn't like she would persuade others.
He remembered Catherine's earlier deeds.
As he gave it some thinking, he concluded that even while she wouldn't always act in the greatest way to survive, she would at least do the next best thing.
Like the time she escaped the Orc's attack.
Only she would maintain her distance and covertly look for a spot to avoid the argument while the rest would make every effort to get closer to Ricky.
Her instincts and senses seized control; she wasn't acting consciously.
"Which door do you think I should enter first?"
Ricky asked.
No matter how long he thought about it, there was no clear solution.
Catherine, on the other hand, displayed "confidence."
The way her brother responded was more unexpected.
Normally, elder brothers would work to keep their younger sisters out of harm's way.
But he did not even attempt to stop her, as if it were natural.
He most likely was aware of her "feeling."
"Ummm..."
She pointed at a door and alternated her gaze between Ricky and the fourth gate.
The Hell Difficulty.
