I watch as Lily sleeps peacefully beside me. There is so much going on in my head that all I can do is smile at the calming effect watching her sleep brings me.
My phone lays behind her on the bedside table. What she doesn't know is that I have it switched off since the last moment we spoke.
That, and the fact that I'm actually not on a business trip as I earlier mentioned.
In fact, I am at risk of missing three crucial parliamentary sessions just to be here.
Yet I regret nothing.
At least not at the moment.
My medical exam came out yesterday and my therapist advised me to go back to my pills as soon as possible.
I might be stupid for asking her to go on a date with me tomorrow when I already know what comes next after but I never claimed to be the sharpest tool in the shed.
Well, at least not when it comes to her.
