Everything melted and Sillion was soon swept inside of the subtstances, carried deeper into darkness, he felt strangely sluggish and everything he had lived lately became hazy.
A few moments later, Sillion jolted his eyes open, taking in an unfamiliar ceiling, although it still seemed like something he knew, he turned his head and recognised where he was.
His ears were ringing intensely, his sight blurred and darkened as he pushed himself off of the ground, his head ached intensely as he stood up.
'What the hell happened?' he only vaguely remembered going through a very intense dream, supported by the fact that he was drenched in sweat.
"Huh? You're awake?" he heard the not quite familiar but recognisable voice of the woman that had let him into this house, he turned to look at her seeing her put a heavy bag down and casually push it underneath some table with her foot.
He was pretty sure some gloves had been peeking out of it.
"Hum, how long have I been out?" he asked Malina, who seemed quite surprised.
"Only a few minutes, no idea what happened to you, ahah" she laughed as she spoke loudly, directing her voice to another direction than that of the noble.
"You must be feeling a bit weird or something, come take a seat, I'll serve you some tea" she offered him pointing at the room behind her.
Noticing this, Sillion looked around more carefully, the house had the same look everywhere so it wasn't hard for him to realise where he was but something was still off.
"I don't remember passing out in this room..." he commented, feeling his heart beat a little faster without knowing the exact reason why.
"And why is the ground covered in this... Thing?" he added, realising that something had been laid out on the floor he had been passed out on a few moments ago.
Some sort of malleable, somewhat transparent material, he could see some parts of it were a bit folded and as he focused on it, he noticed that there was a strong scent, as if someone was aiming to cover a foul smell.
"Oh don't worry, we just put this down when we are going to make some work in a room, nothing to worry about and you must simply be misremembering the room you were in, you must be feeling a bit down after all, right? You should sit down and calm down" advised Malina as she suddenly walked up to him and practically pushed him toward the room she had been pointing to, sitting him on a chair before he could even emit a sound of complaint.
She swiftly pushed a cup of tea to him, it smelled quite nice but Sillion didn't feel like drinking anything and instead just placed his hand on his forehead, thinking about what had happened in more details.
"Excuse me but... Where is that other lady that was there when I passed out?" he asked as he looked over at Malina, who had a very tense smile on her face, seemingly using everything she could to maintain it intact but has a noble, Sillion knew this sort of smile better than actual ones.
"What other lady? You must have imagined it, you still haven't fully recovered did you?" she said, her obviously fake smile transitioning into a genuine one, which only made Sillion more awkward.
"No, I am certain there was-" he tried to reaffirm but with a sharp gaze from the woman across from him, he suddenly stopped.
'Now, don't let yourself be intimidated, even if she has the same look of 'keept quiet' as mom' he told himself as he gulped, not expecting any other woman ever to be able to shut him up like his own mother.
Instead of feeling ashamed, he only tensed up as it felt like she wouldn't just lecture him for keeping on speaking.
He instictively put his right arm on the table and waited a second before talking again.
"Once again, I am positive there was someone else there, a girl with dark hair and wearing an equally as dark dress, she was kinda pale and about this tall, surely, this reminds you of someone you know" he says in spite of her crushing gaze, he didn't know how this was done but he really felt like knowing how to do this would be useful in many situations, even though he literally had a crossbow ready to shoot, he still felt like the one that should back down.
"Listen here, you must have hit your head when you collapsed, there is no one like that here, why don't you drink your cup, go on your merry way and wait for my husband to arrive? You are here for you brother right? Then stop asking meaningless questions" she basically growled at him.
"Alright, alright, I'll leave" he said, not even bothered to take the slighest sip from the tea she had offered to him and instead just standing up, though, he didn't like the way she was looking at him, he felt compelled to not turn his back to her as if he was faced with a wild animal where showing your back was making you a prey.
"Though, I don't know where the exit is, would you mind guiding me to it?" he asked in a low tone.
Before she could answer him however, her gaze shifted off to the side, as if looking at something behind him.
Reluctantly, Sillion turned to see the girl he had been talking about a few moments ago.
"How the hell are you awake? How do you even function anymore? Comment?" she asked, adding a word he didn't understand at the very end.
"Eka?! I told you to go rest, you always get weak after doing your thing!" spoke Malina.
"Since when did I start listening to you? Just because you fuck my brother doesn't make you family" Sillion backed off away from the two, looking intently at a window.
"Hey, I am basically your sister-in-law but most importantly, what are we going to do with this guy?" Malina shifted the conversation back to the main topic, they had had this same exchange enough time by now.
"What else? Kill him! Off with his head, rip his heart out, slit his throat, whatever! He survived one of my nightmares, he has seen it, he can't be left to his own device" said Eka matter of factly.
"Whoa, whoa, let's calm down, I don't quite remember what happened but it was just a dream right? It's no big deal, no need to kill someone over it!" he said, remembering a bit more about the nightmare he had but it was just that, a nightmare.
His seemingly reasonable words didn't work however as Malina pulled the bag back out from where she had pushed it and pulled out a knife.
In response, Sillion raised his arm, making the crossbow unfold.
"Great, he is armed" Eka rolled her eyes.
"Don't come any closer, or I swear I'll shoot!" threatened Sillion before asking once more where the exit was.
"Bordel... Theli won't be happy about this" Eka rubbed her face.
"Yeah, at least that's one upside to our little snafu" smiled Malina, confusing Sillion and making Eka visibly disgusted.
"It's so unusual for him to be even slightly mad about something, I'll have to capitalise on it"
"Stop talking about your deranged desires and stab this guy to death already"
With this, Malina took a step forward but no bolts came her way.
"Well? What are you waiting for? Shoot me you pussy, I am getting closer!" now Sillion was just completely freaked out by this definitely insane woman, he just turned around and jumped through the window.
"Ooh, a recently changed, now broken window, with that I can negotiate at least one broken bone with Theli!" exclaimed Malina, Eka just took a seat, feeling drained.
Meanwhile, Sillion scrambled up to his feet as he ignored the shards of glass stuck in his legs as he ran around, fortunately ending up near the gate.
Filled with adrenaline, he didn't feel the pain from his injuries and leapt up, ready to get over to the outside at any moment.
But instead of getting over the gate, he got stuck as something grabbed onto his ankle, he didn't realise what it was until he turned his head to look.
His ankle was firmly stuck in a huge hound's jaw, with a pull, the beast got him off the gate and onto the ground where it started rolling with his ankle still between its fangs, imitating a crocodiles death roll.
Malina stepped out of the house to see Gevaudan continuously mauling Sillion, ripping limps after limbs, she was seemingly having a lot of fun while absolutely ruining her surroundings by chucking limbs and blood everywhere.
After getting the dog to stop, Malina walked over to Sillion's corpse, getting a hold of the drawing of his brother and getting another look at it.
"Oh, now I remember! Theli used this guy and his party as test dummies for his new experiment, the thing was called Jason I think?" she said aloud before sighing, realising that cleaning all of this mess would be a herculean task.
And she couldn't expect help from Eka, who was already back to being no different than a corpse now.
'Let's get to it I guess...'
