Hell was a bizarre place filled with all sort of torturous areas with sometime conflicting weathers but despite this, its residents that weren't in the the throes of damnation felt incredibly bored.
The poor devils had nothing to do, much like the gods in the sky, the devils in the earth had been severely held back by the arrival of the orange flames.
Each of them used to have very specific things to do in the earthen plane above them, for their job was to push to sin, it was their reason for existence and they enjoyed it.
Ever since they had been cut off from the plane above their heads, they had just been standing around like a bunch of heavy rocks at the bottom of a still and empty lake.
As such, whenever someone from up there decided to call upon the forces of evil down below, the devils were in very good moods, not that it was a good sign.
Usually, a ritual to summon a devil would call upon a random devil that was busy being bored, allowing the devil in question to converse and possibly, strike an unfair deal as intended.
However, targeted summoning were possible with the right knowledge and ingredients, this day, one of the nine overseers of the main sins was called upon, something only possible if they were specifically called.
Such a thing rarely happened and usually, the summoner wasn't prepared enough and the overseer would be able to do whatever they wanted without even having to use trickery.
Asmodeus expected this to be the case as well but he was nicely surprised when he found himself in a well-crafted magic circle, expertly made just for him.
In his usual form, Asmodeus would appear as a gigantic, three headed figure.
One of a handsome man in the middle, a sheep's or goat's on the left and a bull's on the right.
His legs would be that of a rooster and he would bore a snake's tail, everything else would be of the appearance of a human.
However, this wasn't hell and the space he was allowed in was much more cramped, so he just appeared like a relatively normal human wearing some expensive clothing.
Although bull's horns protruded from his head as well as his snake tails remained on top of the fact that everytime he opened his mouth, flames would exit rather than air.
He was leaning on an exquisite cane, not for show but because this unfitting form caused him to limp, he had grown used to his other form after so long, even the devil of lust couldn't get used to a new body so quickly.
His arrival on this place had also summoned up steam that was around him at the time, he pushed it away with a small movement of his free hand, revealing his summoner to him.
It seemed to a fairly young human, although any human was young to the devil, Asmodeus wasn't certain about it but immediately, he could see that this man wasn't simply a talented human, there was something off about his eyes...
The devil cleared his throat, sending flames in front of him as he tapped his cane on the ground before speaking up.
"Human, what is it that you so deeply desire to summon I, the devil of lust in person?" he spoke in a high tone.
"Do you wish to become an apostle, perhaps you wish for access to the many succubi or incubi, unending libido or incredible charisma? Any of these and much more can be yours as long as you have enough to pay for it" spoke the devil with a charming voice but the human didn't seem very allured by the offers.
"Well first of all, bonjour, I just wanted to know everything you know" simply spoke the human as if it was the most obvious thing possible.
Asmodeus brought his free hand in front of his mouth and just made a small sound in response to this, the human was as serious as he was laid back with his way of speaking, which seemed quite contradictory as the devil thought about it.
Now, the overseer was thinking that he had gotten rusty over the years as the human wasn't in the least impressed at all and had been incredibly bold with his demand, usually, any summoner that was offered choices by a devil, no matter the strength of the latter, would naturally chose amongst the options offered to them.
Not this one however, Asmodeus was intrigued, whatever was the reason he simply shrugged off the devil's presence was most likely to these strange eyes of his.
"So you want knowledge? Then, in exchange for what I know, you'll let me inspect your eyes, do you accept this deal?" offered Asmodeus.
"Sounds good but first, let us sign a contract" responded the human as simply threw a bunch of documents over to the devil.
Clearly, Asmodeus was dealing with a very careful man, and the more he read through the seemingly endless pile of documents, he discovered that every possible loopholes had been completely patched up.
After going completely through it, Asmodeus saw no problem agreeing and signing it, it really was just present to ensure that no one could try to to get anything beside what had been agreed upon.
Asmodeus, simply transferred all of his knowledge without any grand effect but instead of just leaning closer for the devil to inspect his eyes, the human just simply popped one of his eyes out of its sockets and extracted it out before it simply regenerated without any problem as he flicked his own disembodied ocular globe at Asmodeus.
The devil wasn't shocked by the sight of this but it certainly took him by surprise, although he couldn't complain, this way he would be able to do his inspection much more throroughly.
"Well then, at another time" with a simple change to the magic circle, Asmodeus was sent right back to the spot he had been at in hell.
Holding a single eyeball that held something deeper that Asmodeus simply couldn't make sense of at the moment, so he rallied all of the other overseers to aid him, if anything, one of them might actually know what this strangeness about it is all about.
