Year 143 of the new calendar
'There's no doubt about it, this is where they were last at' thought a man with a sharp look and somewhat unkempt beard and dark hair.
Sillion looked over a city that was neither big or small, to his standards as the eldest son of a noble family from the capital, it looked like quite the shabby city but it wasn't of importance at all.
He had come here because of the last signal given by an artefact given to a group of adventurers that were hired by him to find his younger brother, whomst had gone off on an adventure, there were no issue about it since Sillion was always meant to take over anyways but as a precaution, the younger brother had been given an artefact similar to the first one mentioned.
The search party had sent word back to Sillion that they had found the last source of the signal and then, they just vanished, the artefact stopped giving out a signal and no other letters were sent to him.
Against the wishes of his parent, Sillion had decided to come investigate the area himself, worried about what could have happened to him.
In the first place, he had believed that his brother had somehow broken the artefact, he was accompanied by a whole group after all, a whole group couldn't just vanish into thin air but after the adventurers he had hired also disappeared without a trace, he was certain that fool play was a part of this.
Apprehensive that the town, which he did not know from name, was the lair to a cult or some cannibal group, he stayed careful as he approached.
Sht'ole, city of the region of Bazar, Sillion himself was of the region of Bonranger, compared to it, this place seemed much less administrated and chaotic, mysteriously however, the surroundings of this one particular city were calm.
'Something is definitely off...' just as he had this thought, he looked to his left and saw a monument, some kind of memorial it seemed with what looked like guard standing next to it.
The noble heir looked around, seeing only normal people going about their lives, not paying much attention to him at all, those that noticed him didn't appear to care in the slightest, typical resident of Gloire, uncaring of anything that didn't affect them.
He approached the man, opening his mouth to speak as he noticed how utterly focused this man was about this memorial, he was looking at it as if it was his own child, making sure it didn't go anywhere it shouldn't.
Sillion considered not actually engaging him but he had already made a small sound and the man turned to him in a military manner and stood right in front of him, looking straight into his eyes.
"Visitor! How may I help you?" he asked in a superbly clear tone, this man must have been a soldier in the past, Sillion thought that perhaps this memorial had to do with his time in the service but seeing the date on it, clearly it wasn't the case.
Sillion just pulled a super realistic drawing of his brother, almost looking like a picture but those needed magic or a device that hadn't been invented yet.
"Would you happen to have seen this boy around here?" he said as the man carefully inspected the drawing, not showing any sign as to whether he actually did or not see him.
"Yes, some time ago this young man and a group of other people came here, the young man seemed to be suffering from something and they asked around for any healer or doctor in the vicinity as their own healer was incapable of treating whatever was plaguing him" explained the man concisely before pointing to a certain direction.
"I never move from this position so I do not know the exact location but the doctor, Ithelisemou lives a bit further from the town, the young man went there, ask people in the city, they might have clearer directions, particularly Timothy, he went to his home a few times to escape from his family" added the guard before telling him the directions to the local tavern, where Timothy should be at the moment.
"By the way, did you see another group of people looking for this young man?" then asked Sillion.
"No, you are the first" responded the man with certainty.
"I see, thank you for your time" the noble thanked the man and quickly made his way to the tavern.
There, using the short description the guard had given alongside the direction, he soon found the man with the peculiar hat on his head, he was by himself at a table, he was one of the only two people in this place, it might seem like Timothy drinking at this hour was a bit soon but the other, an older man was completely passed out on the floor, having already graced it with his noble essences.
He ignored the sight and moved to the same table as this Timothy who was enjoying a cup of what seemed like pretty high quality alcohol, which didn't quite fit the aesthetic of the tavern they were in.
"Could give me the direction to the local doctor's home? A man named Ithelisemou?" he went straight to the point.
"Are you a friend of his, perchance?" this Timothy spoke in a very fake sophisticated manner, he was trying very hard to sound noble.
"No, not quite, I simply believe that he might know where my younger brother went" replied Sillion, once again showing the drawing depicting his brother.
"Mmh, never seen this guy, what do you serendipitously think Malloy?" Sillion didn't bother correct his incorrect word usage and simply turned to the passed out man on the ground, who awoke as if everything was perfectly fine.
"Never seen him either, must have been drunk or passed out, or both" he then promptly fell right back into his vomit.
"Most likely both!" laughed Timothy, slapping his thigh.
"You can just go to his house to ask directly, though I have no clue if he is around or not, he come and goes as he pleases that youngster!" Timothy then chugged his cup of booze and gave detailed directions to Sillion.
"Oh, and if he is here, tell him that I said hi!" added Timothy as Sillion was about to leave.
"I'll make sure to do that" he responded.
