Once more, it seemed as though the drawer wouldn't open at all and for once, it did, in fact, not open, nothing happened.
The key had went right in and turned without any issue but it wasn't opening and the key was seemingly stuck inside now.
Iustus started panicking as he though he had done the wrong thing, rushed in without thinking but thankfully, something did happen, only that it wasn't what seemed the most obvious.
The trapdoor on the wall suddenly made a popping sound and slowly crept open, making this creaking and squeaking that sounded eerily like some sort of old witch's cackling.
Still, the young hero put on a brave front, somehow, this trapdoor made him feel uncomfortable, it was as if opening it had unleashed something, he went in and quickly swung it wide open.
Some sort of liquid poured out of the inside of the trapdoor and started moving around, making its way up the walls and sinking in next to the already present signs on the walls, forming legible words.
Iustus wasn't exactly educated, it was already a miracle that he could so some basic math, so he suddenly grew cold as he realised he was supposed to read something when he was so bad at it but the meaning of the sentence written on the wall just flowed into his head.
"Que le parrain ouvre la voie?" he pronounced without even knowing what it meant and suddenly the room shook as the drawing of a door on the wall started swelling up, turning into an actual door.
Iustus walked hurriedly toward the door and before he could even extend his arm forward to try and open it, the door was suddenly flung open and man dressed in all black and wearing a white mask with dark decorations stood there, his hands behind his back, still standing on a single feet as the other one was still in the same position it had been when the man had kicked the door open.
The man slowly and deliberately put his foot down and brought his hands behind his back forward revealing the bizarre weapons in his hands.
It looked like some sort of saws with its jagged blades but round and that he held like brass knuckles, he flashed his blades at Iustus who had already retreated further from the man.
He ran his blade close to his own necks and then started swinging them around as if they were folding fans, all of this without emmiting any sound from his mouth at all.
Iustus couldn't do much since he was standing right in the doorway as he was doing his weird dance.
Suddenly, he stepped forward in some sort of dance motion.
He seemed to whisper something as his mask's mouthpiece clearly moved but Iustus couldn't make out what he said.
Thankfully, he had planned on repeating himself louder and louder, as he did another graceful motion, spinning off to the side and positioning his arms as if inviting Iustus to get out of the room.
"Run!" he yelled in a lenthy manner before staring up at ceiling, Iustus made sure to not get too close to the man and took him upon his offer, shutting the door behind him as he took in his surroundings.
On each of his two sides, two long hallways stretched out, the walls seemed to be made of highly reinforced stone, he could just tell at a glance that this was incredibly condensed as well as a type of stone he had never seen before.
On the ceiling, many pipes stretched throught he whole place, pipes of all sizes, from some bigger than Iustus himself to some that barely reached the width of his pinky finger, some of them broke off from the main chunk of pipes and went through the walls, most likely into some rooms.
Although, Iustus wasn't seeing any other doors than the one he had just came out of.
Quickly making his decision, Iustus went for it and soon enough, the man came barging out of the room, checking around in an obviously exaggerated manner, bending his knees and jumping up as he looked at each side, his weapons raised in the air.
"Raah, what a quick one" spoke the man aloud in his horrendously deep and heavy voice, he stopped his theatricals and as he did, he instantly looked much more terrifying, the moment his little act was dropped, he just looked like what he was, a killer searching for his next victim.
However, even if Iustus couldn't tell due to the metal bandages restraining his powers and system, the man wasn't just a run of the mill killer that dressed strangely, he had been created with a purpose, which was to assist GMJ, as the actor in the games devised by his similarly masked peer.
As such, when a game was taking place, he was at his strongest and wouldn't be fooled easily, for as much as he was acting like he had lost Iustus, the truth was that he knew very well where the young hero was, he could hear his breathing as if he was right next to him even as Iustus barely breathed at all.
He could hear the sweat trickling off his body, he could hear his heart beating as though it was his own.
GAJ threw one of his weapons straight up at the pipes, splitting right through them and causing someone to fall of them as they dodged the lazy attack.
"What did I say? I said run!" spoke the man as his weapon, which was still attached to his wrist by some sort of thin rope was pulled back down into his hand.
He watched Iustus's back as he ran away as he calmly started walking after him, putting his jagged blades up against the walls of the hallways, scraping against them and causing sparks to fly as he slowly pursued the young hero.
Iustus ran and ran, never finding any other room or hallway to run into, it was only one continuous pathway and he started worrying that it was a dead end and that he would be killed no matter how hard he tried, still he kept on running until his lungs felt as if they were filled with fire.
He ran up until he couldn't hear the scraping sound anymore and when he finally saw another hallway off to his left side, when someone reached out and pulled him into it.
