Looking at the man he had cursed to failure, Lukewarmness couldn't help but be thrown back into the distant past.
How long had it been since he had been cursed to eternity inside of this indestructible prison? Since most of his body had been turned to dust? How long had he awaited for salvation?
He could still remember when he was made to become Lukewarmness, he had hoped that this transformation would change something but it had only turned him into a glorified cursed artefact.
Why even had he been punished? He still couldn't see what he had done so wrong to end up like this, failed in his duties? Failed to complete a mission given by the heavens?
He had done everything he could! He had been ready to sacrifice his life for it! He hadn't been slothful, to the contrary, he had been as diligent as he could have! Was his diligence not enough for them? Why choose him if his very best wouldn't cut it? Weren't the gods supposed to be all knowing?
Even the system had recognised him as a failure, this title of Lukewarmness was the ultimate confirmation that his whole being wouldn't have been enough.
Indeed, seeing the general attempt to fight back against failure reminded him of his old self but even then, there was nothing to do, the moment he had fallen into Lukewarmness's grasp, he would be doomed to a series of actions that he despised, forced to disappoint.
'You should just give up'
'Just lay down, it isn't your problem'
'You can rest, you have done enough already'
'You don't have to try any harder, everything is fine'
Subconsciously, Mylhart started hearing voices, murmuring him to give up, to stop his resistance.
Up until now, Lukewarmness had done nothing but use his powers in a straightforward manner, an invisble way that couldn't be pushed against by even the general.
He committed a mistake, a grave oversight, the voices were much more tangible, so much more physical.
Telling Mylhart to give up was the best way to make him struggle even more.
Seeing him clearly and doubtlessly turn his head toward him, Lukewarmness understood that he had severely messed up.
'Whoa, whoa, whoa, hey!' the lesser sin was picked up in an instant and he felt the general heading for the other side of his office, not even taking the time to open the window before throwing the jar at an incredible speed.
It soared through the air, people looked up at the unidentified flying object in wonder.
Up until, the sin crashed against the ground, bouncing a few times before losing speed and rolling for a few meters, only then did he stop completely.
'...'
'That's another failure, isn't it?' thought the sin, powerlessly laying in the middle of nowhere, the general had aimed precisely it seemed, launching the sin were no one went.
Mylhart looked at his hands, feeling revigorated all of a sudden, stretching his limbs and shaking his head, he felt alive once more and immediately went on to get back the tasks he had given to someone else.
Everything felt right again, although, a few of the decisions taken by his temporary replacement felt absolutely unnaceptable.
"Why would you try to arrest miss Willia? She's one of us!" he asked.
"Sir, she went away at around the same time the mutation outbreak occurred and her skillset would definitely allow her to create such a thing, not to mention the people we sent at her second lab were all brutally killed..." responded the replacement somewhat sheepishly, for he knew how trusting Mylhart was of his colleagues.
"Willia is constantly deprived of sleep and sustenance on top of being rather easily panicked, I have a staggeringly easy time to imagine her unleashing one of her experiments by reflex, drop that and instead focus on a jar in the nearby plains, it was affecting my thinking and actions frighteningly easily"
"Don't get too close, be content to study it from as far as you can"
"Yes sir..."
"And when I mean as far as you can, that is not an exaggeration, treat it as if it could mind control anything that gets too close, if someone start moving toward it without reason, knock them out immediately"
Noticing that the general was speaking as if he wouldn't be present, the replacement was confused.
"Sir, what will you be doing?" he asked, it was uncommon for the general to not participate in something.
"It's time for me to take action, our soldiers can't deal with the sins and other tumors that have infected our country? Very well then, I will do it myself" spoke the general before walking away.
At a loss for words, the replacement didn't even try to stop Mylhart, only being able to look at his back as he moved away with resolve.
"Oh, by the way" the general stopped for a moment.
"The window is broken again, sorry about that" he simply said.

"I think Lukewarmness got found out, he just moved a large distance in an instant" spoke Euthanasia.
"Anyone up to go get him? Corruption since you haven't been doing anything lately?"
"How am I supposed to bring him back? I have no arms!" spoke the floating head with an annoyed expression.
"Can't you just wrap your hair around his jar or something?" spoke another head without a body, although it wasn't accurate since the rest of his body was just lying around, in pieces.
"Why not ask the dragon? He can get there in a second" proposed Corruption.
"That would just cause a panic, we don't want everyone to start moving around like headless chickens" spoke the sheep, only adding a baa a good ten second after his sentence.
Euthanasia looked at the other lesser sins around him and clearly saw that no one would bother to go get Lukewarmness, he himself didn't want to risk going in the open since he wasn't exactly the offensive type.
"Fine" he said before suddenly starting to move his head weirdly back and forth before suddenly puking out a beautiful coin, although it was covered in some sort of bloody and slimy substance.
The abominable sheep then strolled away to go get someone who would definitely be up for the task, leaving his fellows perplexed as to why he chose to store a coin in his stomach.
