Before his precious brain matter could be spilled all over the place, Jake used his ability, he described it as fast reaction and it wasn't exactly wrong, when time was frozen in place, one could consider his reaction to be instantaneous.
Unfortunately, Jake hadn't gotten the best kind of time stop possible, while time could remain frozen for a long while, moving in stopped time was a hassle, he had to to battle against the effect of his own ability on himself.
He feared that this aspect meant that anyone who knew about his ability could actually move if they tried, which was why he kept it a secret, moving as though fighting against a strong breeze, Jake moved out of the flintlocks way and prepared to counterattack once time started moving again.
He simply sent a high kick to the arm that was sticking out of the wall, the wood appeared to be liquid around the area the arm protruded from and the kick was enough to send the firearm away, the utility of that move was questionable since it fired anyways and flintlocks only had a single bullet and a painfully long reloading time.
The bullet went soaring through the air into the distance as the group took their distance from the attacker as they stepped out of the wall, which had definitely turned into a liquid subtance for that person in particular, leaving no doubt to their identity as they were fully revealed.
Dressed in an exquisite scarlet colored pirate frock coat with lines of gold, a tricorn hat on her head, short dark hair that seemed to have been cut by an amateur as it was curdely cut.
She stomped the deck with her black boots, one hand on her cutlass and the other on her hat, making a distinctive entrance as if trying to impress them.
A few other flintlocks could be seen strapped on her body and with how ample her frock coat was, it implied that their were many more.
She flashed a toothy smile, revealing her many silver and golden tooth amongst other unidentified materials and a few pristine white teeth.
"Ya think you can invade ma ship like that?" she said, pulling another two flintlocks out and pointing it at them.
"We didn't mean to appear as invaders, we simply wanted to ask someone on this ship a question" Laura raised her only remaining hand.
"Yeah, I know who you lots are, he tol' me about it! Ya better leave, I don't have anything to say, I am no snitch!" responded the typically dressed pirate, the frock coat she was wearing was the exact same that had been in an impossible numbers in the closet, except for color.
Clearly, she was always dressed up like that, she in fact, never gets off this ship and feeds on the wildlife and maybe, sometimes stops on some remote islands.
Despite intentionally doing something that usually killed seamen, which was not finding land and run out of food and contract scurvy, she was in perfect health.
"I only want to know about someone that 'he' you mentioned knows, nothing more" spoke Laura, saying the truth by simply replacing a we by a I.
Realising that she said 'he', the pirate scratched her nose with the barrels of one of her loaded flintlocks while thinking about something.
"Listen closely, he's not considerin' ya threats, at least not for now, you guys are on wild hunt with no prize at the end" spoke the pirate.
"Really, the only reason he allowed ya to track me is because I needed some action, you are only here to get shot by me!" she revealed before promptly demonstrating her statement by shooting at them.
The bullets moved fast and their small sizes made them difficult to follow but it was no problem for Molarine who punched the bullets away with her fists.
"Whoa!" exclaimed the pirate before the whole ship started moving as though it was alive.
"This entire ship is ma ability, all of you are within my range" boasted the pirate as various ropes from nearby masts started moving like living snakes while the wood bended in unnatural way as though it was jelly before suddenly shaping itself into spikes and walls all around the group.
The group was completely surrounded while the pirate lighted herself a cigar.
Whether or not they could get out of this situation was unknown as Grayson decided to take the easy way out and slammed his own way on a spike, sending straight back at right before they boarded the ship.
Truly, there was no defeating his overpowered ability.
The pirate utter control over the bizarre ship meant that getting close to it was the worst thing possible, she had the upper hand by default.
"Hold on" he said as Molarine was about to climb up the ladder, explaining that he had had a vision and that he should go by himself.
They had gotten little information, only that the mastermind was apparently a man and that he didn't deem them a threat.
'That's because he doesn't realise the power my ability' he thought, still confident in his ability even though the mastermind clearly knew of his ability and still deemed him as no threat.
Arriving on the abnormal ship's deck, he headed to its center, there was no real reason for him to tell the others to stay behind, he could reset all the same either way, he simply felt like the pirate would be more inclined on speaking if only one person was around, though that was unlikely.
He called out to her and she walked out of one of the masts, despite that one in particular being thinner than her body.
"Ya came alone? That's weird, did ya reset already?" the pirate had also been informed of his ability, she readjusted her hat with one of her guns and before staring him down.
"Honestly, your brain must be full of shit if you think this will be enough to defeat him, you aren't even a percent of the man that he is, you should bow your head and give up" she kindly informed him that his attempt was useless before pointing the gun toward him.
"What is your relation to him exactly?" he asked, trying to get as much information before getting his head blown, he could certainly dodge bullets if he tried to but once she started shooting, she wouldn't be responding to any questions.
"Isn't it obvious? I am one of his women, are too dense to see that?" before she finished her own sentence, the bullet had already been shot, going right through Grayson's left eye and through his brain.
