The beginning of winter was Cissaley's favorite part of the year, as she made her first step off the airplane excited because it was the first time she'd been home in almost a year.
Cissaley was fresh out of college and her internship was finally over ,she loved being a lawyer with offers around the table ,finishing first in her class coming from a family of lawyers was a must for her. The name Langston rings high in Dallas Texas. Jason Langston her father owned one of the most prestigious companies in Dallas ,her mother Pamela Langston also a retired lawyer, retired because she loved charity work more. Kali Langston Berks ,Jenna Langston Berks,also attorneys who married the Berks brother's Tion Berks ,and Mylan Berks two of the the most prominent lawyers from New York City. These families were all connected in one way or the other. The children of prominent families are bound to have some types of plots to cause hurt and most likely will cause others to seek a better understanding of their situation, in life and in busses. Love is love we don't always get to choose the right ones but we can choose to fight for the one's that will change at any given moment.
Cissaley arrived home wanting to surprise everyone she decided not to let them know because her first stop was so much more important than anything else. She wanted to surprise her fiancee, she had rented a car bought wine to celebrate the end of her internship with him first. That love she felt was the most important thing to her at that very moment she decided not to call her family because she wanted to see him more than anything else. All the way to his place all she thought about was him. Morris Donahue,she was in love with him and the thought of him was always the most important thing on her mind. She pulled up to his place happy got out went unlocked the door went in,straight to the kitchen as she opened the bottle she heard laughter, a voice that was familiar and the only person that it could've been, but saying to herself there's no way it could be. She walked to the bedroom door opening it,and there they were a sight she'd never had to prepare herself for. Morris the man she was in love with the man she'd was suppose to marry in bed with her best friend. She was speechless shocked and hurt.
POV OF WHAT WEST POINT IS ABOUT:
Before I begin this journey with you, I have always believed in love but I have also lived with the love that brought pain and hurt into my life. Thus isn't a story but a series of stories that I hope one day to let live on the screen for you and I believe that once we get it there it shall never fade. To love and not feel the pain of being in love is not a true living. So let's love and be loved.
Cissaley: Are you kidding me? Zoe how could you do this to me?
Zoe: Cissaley, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
Cissaley: You're sorry!(yelling)Oh my God! This is what you've been doing all along.
Morris: Wait,Cissaley wait!
Zoe: You need to tell her,tell her the truth. I wanted to tell you.
Cissaley: You've been sleeping with him all this time,right? You're my best friend and you do this,why?
Zoe: Morris, tell her the truth!(crying)
Morris: My father made me pretend to want to marry you ,so you would come work for him. I'm sorry...
Cissaley: (shocked and ashamed) Wait,you said your father? Why? Why would you do this? Work for him, are you serious?
Morris: He wants you to work at Donahue something about your dad and your mom ,I'm not sure. He said he would make me COO.
Cissaley: Zoe you're apart of this you're my best friend we've been friends since we were five years old. Leeza always said "you were using me." I helped you pass the bar and this is what I get. How could either of you do this? Bill and Daddy are friends.
Zoe: Cissaley, Bill wants you to work for him to get back at your mom. He never got over her,she dumped him for your father.
Cissaley: So, for 27 years he has been planning to use me to hurt my parents because my mother chose to love my father? This is beyond pathetic and you my best friend, knew what he was doing and you said nothing. (taking a deep breath) Don't ever speak to me again.
(She walked out drove home 45 minutes later her phone rang someone had already put the story in the media. She was so ashamed trying to get herself together before facing her family. Pulling up to the house trying to make sense of what she knew was real,but seemed unrealistic to explain. Grabbing her suitcases unlocking the door, her parents coming around the staircase happy to see her)
Robert: Honey,why didn't you call us ,we could have picked you up at the airport?
Cissaley: Ah, I rented a car bought wine, I wanted to surprise Morris,but it didn't turn out the way I'd hoped and planned.
Pamela: Why,what happened?(-Cissaley : Zoe was there,they're like together, like in love.) Honey,what are you saying?
Cissaley: They're sleeping together, has been since the beginning. (-Robert: Wait! Zoe and Morris are in a relationship. This isn't making any sense. She's your best friend she wouldn't do this to you.(-Cissaley: Well she did and she's in love with him. I let myself in went in the kitchen heard laughter coming from the bedroom opened the door and there they were. This is so embarrassing) And what reason did he have ?
Cissaley: That Bill made him propose to me so I would come work for his firm. He's still angry about you and mom but why me?
Robert: I'm going to ruin everything he owns.(-Pamela: Honey no,we are better than that he doesn't deserve our attention. Cissaley is that what you want?)
Cissaley: No,I just want this night to be over,daddy thanks but, I'm fine. I'm tired I'm gonna shower ,and get some sleep. Daddy you don't have to worry I'm okay.
Robert: I'll get your bags. (Calling Frank from his cellphone) Hey I need tour help.
Pamela: You want me to bring you something to eat? (-Cissaley: I'm not hungry, but thanks.) Honey you should try to eat something even if it's a small amount.
Robert : Pam,let her go up,if she wants she can eat something later. ( putting his arms around her (Pamela)
Cissaley went upstairs hurt about what had happened but shaded no tears,it was like high school all over again ,having major crushes but not one guy that she fancied had any kind of feeling for her. She was more of the best friend type or a least she thought she was even during college no one ever asked her out,in so many ways she thought it strange but never questioned the reason for it. Her phone rang over and over seeing that it was Zoe and/or Morris she didn't have the strength to hear every excuse in the book to why they helped William Bill Donahue use her to hurt her parents. So,ignoring the calls were the option she went with. She changed clothes and sit at her work desk until she decided she wanted to do something about the way she felt,which was the worse she'd felt and yet no tears. Her phone rang again this time her sister Angie called.
Angie:Hey, what the hell happened? You are the talk of the media right now.
Cissaley: What? What?Are you serious, why?
Angie: Morris and Zoe and You love triangle something about you catching them together and he ended things because he was in love with your best friend. What happened? Is this true?(Cissaley: Yes,they're together have been together the whole time.
I'm so pathetic how could I not see they were in a relationship, Leeza always said there was more going on then them playing around always laughing about things I seemed to not understand. The inside jokes I had zero idea what they were talking about. Am I really that naive.) Cissaley we all fell for her, not just you. So,what are your plans?
Cissaley: I'm not sure, I haven't thought about it yet. I have three job offerings that I'm going to decide on they've given me till after Christmas to decide. I'm just not sure what I want.
Angie : What about New York? Kathrine and Micahi are really in need of help,have you considered it? (Cissaley: I have but New York has never been a place that I ever thought about as a permanent place to live. ) Think about it,you need to get away from them Micahi has fought for you with the board members. We need you and you need this to keep you busy until you figure out what you want.
Cissaley: It's been a long two years, I don't know anything about fashion.
Angie: You know business and you are really good at what you do. With you and Micahi Berks will be a multi billion dollar company. Cissaley Kathrine needs you.
Cissaley:Okay, maybe I could help out but for now I'm not promising to make New York my home but after all this it might be what I need for now.
Angie: Great I'm glad you said yes because I had Benjamin to draw the contract and I sent it by fax, check under the left side of your desk. I had Eloise put it there so mom wouldn't see it. (-Cissaley : Wait , God how am I supposed to tell her shes gonna flip?
She's already upset about this thing with Bill now she's going to think I'm going behind her back with Kathrine. ) Cissaley, you're not a child mother just has to get over it, she can worry Jenna and Kali about starting a family
( laughing) Micahi was adamant about you becoming Co- Ceo. So, how's the cabin progressing?
Cissaley: Well,I've been so wrapped up in Morris I left everything in Frank's hands but I should know more soon. I don't know how to tell mom and dad about this,they're going to flip out. ( -Angie: Well, daddy already knows about it, I told him a few weeks ago and he actually thinks it's worth it he never wanted you to be with him because he knew Bill would do something stupid and guess what he did. I have to go Kyla just walked in we have to finish packing.) Tell her I said hi. What time are you guys leaving?
Kyla: Hi Cissaley. (-Cissaley: Hi ! See you Christmas day, bye.)
(They ended the call. Cissaley thought maybe this was what she needed,to get out of Dallas Texas maybe she could get pass the hurt of her best friend lying to her using her and maybe start a new life.)
So now the story begins Cissaley will find love from the least expected way and the one person she would have never expected would be the one. The life,love ,and hurt is worth it.
