Alex is a tall handsome young man and he is two years older than Ember, despite he is from a wealthy home he is well mannered which is why most people he comes across love him, his dad is a politician and his mom is working in their family's private firm.
He was admitted last year to come to study medicine but he differs from the admission because he was not mentally ready to go to school at that time. He told Ember that he has been looking for her contact all the while but it was to no avail, Ember was happy when he made that statement "at least he cares" she thought to herself.
When they got to school the next day Ember asked Alex how comes he ended up in the same school as her, he told her it was his dream to be a student at one of the best schools in the world and Ember also told him her part of the story.
Ember and Alex started seating together during lectures, and they also started helping each other out on topics they don't understand during class, they are both brilliant bookworms but Alex is brighter.
Ember made a new friend on Thursday morning and the name of her new friend is Sofia, she met her when she went to buy some books that were recommended by their faculty and it happens that she was also there to buy some books too.
"Hi," said Sofia smiling at Ember.
"Hi," Ember replied smiling back at her too.
"I have been trying to remember where I know you from but now I'm sure I know you, I saw you on our first day of resumption and would love to be your friend if you don't mind," Sofia said tugging her ear.
She doesn't look that bad, and I think it not going to be a bad idea after all she seems nice Ember thought to herself as she steeple her finger continuously.
"Sure I don't mind, my name is Ember, by the way, what's your name? She replied as they gave each other a pumping handshake.
"My name is Sofia," she said shining her beautiful white gap tooth.
When they were done getting the books they wanted they both went to class together. After they were done with the class that day they exchange phone numbers to be able to get in touch when needed.
Ember was planning to move from her aunt's house to the hostel so that she can concentrate more on her studies. She moved during the weekend, and though the few days she spent with them were deeply felt especially by her aunt's kids, she promised them she will be coming frequently to say Hi to them.
Ember's aunty drove her to the hostel because her husband was busy, and the kids also joined to accompany Ember to her new hostel They all helped Ember to arrange her stuff in the room before they headed back home.
After her aunt left She tried studying her book because she likes reading ahead for the next class so that she can understand better what is being taught she was sad she couldn't continue so she concluded that it is for her to take a nap.
"It been a rough and tough week for her it will be healthy if she gets enough rest this weekend to make her feel lively and motivated," she thought to herself as she tossed her hair.
She stood up from her reading chair shut the windows, put on her AC and went to her bed to take a nap.
As she later woke up from sleep she felt the growling of her stomach, she didn't eat anything before she left her aunt's house because she was excited about moving to her new hostel and once she is excited she usually lost her appetite.
She dressed up and went to a restaurant close to her hostel and ordered food, on her way back to the hostel she remembered she hasn't called Sofia to inform her she has moved to the hostel. She gave her a call and informed her, Sofia was happy and told her she was coming right away and putting on her shoes.
"I'm not in my hostel at the moment I went out to buy food but I'm on my way, I think you should wait a little longer before coming or when I get to the hostel I will give you a call" Ember suggested while walking to her hostel.
"Okay, I will be waiting then," she said pulling off her shoes.
When Ember got to the hostel she called Sofia, and Sofia arrived immediately.
Ember I'm so mad at you for not informing me immediately after you moved in, I would have loved to give you a helping hand especially in arranging your stuff. She said as she frowns her face.
Ember Said "please don't be mad at me, I'm so sorry my head was full I called as soon as I remembered, The most important thing is you are here now.
They both ate the food though Ember forced Sofia to join her.
"Wow this Pasta is amazing" Ember commented immediately after she had a taste of the pasta.
"Sure it is" Sofia replied and took a sip of water from her glass cup.
after they finished eating they rested and decided to revise what they were being taught in their first week of school when they finish revising Ember suggested they should read ahead for their next class and Sofia agreed. When they were done Sofia left and Ember promised to come and check up on her the next day.
