Sean want to ask what is bothering her but he restrained his curious self.
Sean asked the driver to stop the car. He went out of the car together with Anna. They sat on a bench near a beach. The rain in the area is drizzling.
Anna walked slowly towards the beach. She removed her shoes and walk on the water, she stopped at the beach shore.
She stood there as all of the things that happened in these days came rushing in her mind. She is so disturbed from it.
The first thing is the issue of their project been stolen. Then they were accused of plagiarism and are been slandered on media. And now her father arranged a blind date for her to help ease the tension on the media.
Anna felt so lonely even though she have all her family members living with her. At this point, she felt alone and in need of someone, she felt the need of having a shoulder to cry on, the need of having someone she could share her problems with, for the first time her heart became selfish and desire someone that would give her a shoulder apart from her sister. This is the first time Anna felt the need to share her problems with someone else apart from Kelly.
Anna has always been independent and strong willed. She is person that is filled with angelic spirit and courage.
Anna is bothered because the project that is stolen is not only her work, but also her sister's hard work and time. It is not only her reputation that is been tainted, but also her company and parents hard build reputation.
Anna went to the bench and sat down after a while, even though there is a lot bothering her in her mind, she didn't cry a single tear. She sat down beside Sean silently.
"Thank you" Anna said softy, her voice a sweet and angelic, without looking at the man.
Sean sat quietly in a bench near the beach as he looked at the seemingly lonely Anna. He felt something like he should embrace her, but shook the idea the next second.
Sean seemed confused when Anna thanked him. He didn't do anything to receive a thank you, as long as he remember.
"Why are you thanking me?" He asked her. 'maybe she wants something so she is acting nice and cure's he though, but his heart felt pain and anger at the accusing remark his mind say of her.
"For not knocking me with you car a,I guess" Anna said. Well, that's not what Anna is really thankful for, she is thankful that he accompanied her and bring her to her favorite place where she usually came when she is stressed, she is thankful that he stayed with her silently without them knowing each other, but she couldn't say that because as a businesswoman herself she have an idea of what he might think from his question.
Anna couldn't see his face clearly as it is so late at night and the it is dark now, and she couldn't recognize him from his voice as she is in no mood to observe her surrounding, so she didn't know that the person with her now is Sean.
Sean expected her to say she is thankful that he accompanied her, or that he brought her to a beautiful place, but what she said amaze him as he didn't expect it.
He turned his head to have a look at her expression but he didn't get a thing because it is dark. So he asked "Then why didn't move away from the road when you heard the horn" . He didn't understand why she didn't move when the driver horn the car of she is aware of where she is.
"Maybe I want to be hit by a car" She replied and shrugged her shoulder nonchalantly.
Sean is again silenced by her words, he couldn't find a word of reply for her, but from her tone he knew that she is just jocking, because she wouldn't thank him for not knocking her with his car if she had wanted to be knocked. And she would have resisted him when he dragged her to his car but she didn't do that also, which only meant that she is in absent minded state.
"You might seriously get hit in the state you were. And it is not safe for a lady to go out in this hour along" Sean said. There is bad boys and gangs everywhere at night, and it Iis dangerous for a lady to go out in this hour let along alone.
"I can protect myself" she said.
"I am not worried" Sean said.
"I know" Anna replie. She didn't expect him to worry for her and she didn't say she can protect herself because she thought he is worried about her. Besides, who will get worried for a stranger.
Sean is quite at her statement. 'She seems like a clever girl' he thought, which again made him wonder why she would be troubled. 'And she also seems lonely ' he thought. She is a smart girl because she understood every single word he said without him elaborating. He is impressed by her smartness because he never met a girl that is smart as her.
"Then what if something bad happened to you, or if you even got hit" he asked her curiously.
Anna chuckled at his statement and sighed. Sean heard her chuckle for the first time and find it cute and amazing.
"You are now acting like you cared about me and is worried" she said as she leaned forward and put her hands on her thigh. Sean is stunned at her words, he then realized that he really asks her questions as if he is worried.
"Maybe I really want to get hit a the car now" she said as her voice dropped a little in the end. Her tone is now sincere
