Chapter 4 - Chapter Three

It has been raining for a couple of moments in the city of Buyeo Kingdom. However the rain turned heavier and the tapping on the window, canopy soon began tapping madly off the roof. As a result the overhang became inane as the people under the cover and umbrella outside were drenched by the cloud spatting out their billion-fold ping of water. Puddle became plinking as the rainfall increased rapidly, plunking onto the muddy earth.

People began murmuring and started running toward a large shelter to substitute them. The rain was buzzling incessantly with their noise and digging furiously off the tin roof. So much the rain was falling that the sounds blurred into one long whirring noise, reminiscent of the rotor on a helicopter.

Eventually the next moment, as if the heavens opened and commanded, the drop from the rain faded into musical chimes, halting the footsteps of the people running for shelter.

Silence descends upon the earth as everyone wonders what kind of misery just happened. The curtains of the rain passed by the time everyone settled. it was as if rain had never been. The only source of evidence that the clouds were bucketing down a second ago was the muddy soil.

Precipitous, a strong wind started blowing vigorously causing the people to resume their race, in great despair, stumbling and falling, stomping and fighting for a way to survive the raging wind. Tree swayed furiously, causing a disastrous whirland.

Disastrous wind after heavy rain!. It is very obvious something unpredictable is happening.

Emerging from the raging wind but clearly seen by the people is a black grey butterfly. It flew past the people and buildings leaving behind a trim of dark grey light that died immediately after shining out. The black grey butterfly continues its way through the air, leaving everyone confused on what the mysterious butterfly was. It flew swiftly and entered the royal palace of Bu Yeo, until it reached and stopped at a particular building.

The butterfly landed in front of the building and started reducing in size and soon changed colour from black grey to silver, then unanticipated bright silvered lights shone from the butterfly blinding the atmosphere. All at once in the place where the butterfly landed now stood a very beautiful young lady.

Dalnim the goddess of the moon,  stared around the quiet place intently. She was adorned in a white gown, her silvered hair was combed back beautifully entrapped with silver hairpin and on her feet were white leather shoes.

The sun came out casting slanted light across the palace. Aback, Dalnim silvered eyes began to shine brightly, it rose up eerily and drifted mist like toward the molten sun. The image was so vivid that she disappeared from the place and unforeseeable, she reappears back into the queen chamber where Shin Buyong was sleeping peacefully and soundly, on the bed unaware of what was happening around the vicinity.

In the cot lie the newborn princess, her arm aloft as if dreaming of cuddling the silvered woman who was standing so close by. Dalnim slid a finger into the baby's open arm and watched as they curled around her own finger, the baby smiling. Her smile was as sweet as a summer peach and filled Dalnim with a sunshine smile she never knew existed in her mouth.

Straightening her back, Dalnim rolled a finger and silvered light emanated from her finger. She directed the light toward the baby's arm.

The light reflected on the butterfly birthmark on the princess' arm and strangely the butterfly stirred as if it was alive but instantly the light died out.

Dalnim smiled, seeming to have accomplished her mission, then she completely vanished into thin air like a shadow…. As if she was never in the room.
