"Yongrui, are you okay?" Yin Longshen touched his younger brother's sleeve and looked at him worriedly.
Ever since just now, his younger brother had been glaring ferociously at the stone statue, as if it owed him money...

Feng Yongrui turned his head slowly and looked at his older brother pitifully.

Feng Yongrui watched the whole process with interest. When the process was done, the entire stone statue was reconstructed.
The stone was no longer worn out, chipped, and dirty. Instead, the stone statue was cleaner and looked newer.
The entire shape of the statue had undergone tremendous change. Now, Feng Yongrui could clearly make out the lines and shapes of the two brothers.
He could see Ve and Vili's body shape clearly. For example, Ve was taller than the latter. He could also see the details of their clothes.
It looked like they were wearing... something like a tunic or a robe... It was quite similar to the clothes of Roman people that Feng Yongrui had seen back on Earth.
Feng Yongrui subconsciously moved closer to the statue and looked at it even more closely than before. He could see the contours of Ve and Vili's face.
Ve had a smooth, youthful face with phoenix-shaped eyes and sharp eyebrows. Meanwhile, Vili had a well defined jaw, mellow eyes, and thin eyebrows.
It was rather odd. Obviously, Ve was the demigod of light, so why were his features colder and sharper than the latter? In contrast, Vili had a soft and gentle face...
Feng Yongrui found it strange -- if this skill really allowed him to look at an object during a certain time period... Doesn't this mean that, this stone statue used to look like this?

Feng Yongrui clicked "yes". Almost immediately, he felt his surroundings melt away, replaced by new surroundings.
Feng Yongrui found himself in a dark patch of land. The sky was dark, rain fell to the ground, and there were corpses littered all around him.
Feng Yongrui subconsciously frowned and looked forward. Up ahead, he saw two figures standing back to back against each other. Both of them were holding weapons, and Feng Yongrui knew who they were.
They must be Ve and Vili.
According to the tour guide's words, the taller one with sharper features was Ve, the god of light, whereas the gentler looking one was Vili.
The two demigods looked really similar, and at a glance, Feng Yongrui could see that they were brothers. Their facial features were also similar to the ones that Feng Yongrui had seen on the statues.
"Ve" was holding a sword, whereas "Vili" held a spear in his right hand. The two of them were surrounded by a group of gods, goddesses, and demigods.
"Ve, you should know that it's hopeless," a god who looked like the leader of the group spoke.
Feng Yongrui looked at "Ve" eagerly, waiting for him to speak. However, the one who replied was "Vili".
"I know... I know all of this, but I don't want to stop..." the one who spoke was 'Vili', not 'Ve'.
"Vili is my brother. I won't let you do anything to him... If you want to take his life, you have to step over my dead body first!" he added.
Feng Yongrui was stunned for two seconds before he understood what was going on.
"Aha! The tour guide was wrong!" Feng Yongrui cried. "No wonder..."
The taller figure, who had sharper and colder features, was not Ve. He was Vili, the demigod of darkness!
Now that he knew who was who, Feng Yongrui was able to understand what was going on. This must be the moment when the gods and goddesses of light cornered the two brothers!
"Since you are adamant on protecting that brat, then you can just go and die with him," one of the gods said.
The god waved his arms and pointed at the two brothers majestically.
"Vili, I'm sorry, I couldn't protect you at the end," Ve muttered sadly. A sorrowful smile hung at the corner of his lips.
"Brother, it's not your fault, you know. If you want to blame someone, you can only blame fate... But actually, I always wanted to tell you that --"

Feng Yongrui: ???
What? Why couldn't he hear anything? He was going to see the most important part, right? The part where they turn into stone...
"ERROR! ERROR! WARNING! ERROR -- There is an error with the viewing mode. For the safety of the Host, you will be transferred back immediately --"

Feng Yongrui opened his eyes and found himself back near the Fratres statue. Everything was back to normal. The tour guide was still droning on and on, and the audience were listening halfheartedly while yawning.
The Fratres statue was back to its original shape, too.
"Yongrui, Yongrui!!" Feng Yongrui felt someone shaking his shoulders and looked up. It was Yin Longshen.
"Yongrui, are you okay?" Yin Longshen asked worriedly. "You look a bit pale. Do you need some water?"
Feng Yongrui shook his head and let out a shaky breath.
"I'm fine... Sorry, Ge, I was just momentarily distracted..." Feng Yongrui apologized.
Yin Longshen sighed and nodded. "It's okay. I was just worried about you. As long as you're fine, it's okay."
Yin Longshen took out a water bottle, unscrewed the cap, and handed it to his younger brother.
"Here, have a sip," he whispered.
Feng Yongrui nodded and obediently drank the water. As he gulped down mouthfuls of water, he heard the tour guide's voice.
"And then, Vili raised his arms and blocked the blow. Unfortunately, he was no match for the light gods... He was thrown to the side and rolled to the ground, cutting a sorry figure..."
Feng Yongrui: "..."
This tour guide should just be a story teller.
Feng Yongrui finished drinking and twisted the bottle cap.
"Anyway, he got it wrong," Feng Yongrui muttered under his breath. "The taller one is Vili, and the one who looks kinder is Ve..."
Next to him Yin Longshen extended his hand with a smile.
"Yongrui, are you done drinking?" he asked.
Feng Yongrui nodded and gave his older brother a smile. Yin Longshen took the bottle from him and stuffed it inside the bag.
"Ge, I think this guy is getting boring. Why don't we just leave?" Feng Yongrui asked.
"Yeah, let's just go. Aunt must be waiting for us in the hotel," Yin Longshen said.
Feng Yongrui nodded happily, unaware that his older brother had a dark look on his face...
