Chapter 27 - Final Floor: Dungeon [1]

"I can't believe that!"

A second-year student commented as he watched the virtual screen, there a young man extremely handsome sprinted across the path like anything, some of them even doubted if anyone will be able to sprint like that.

"It seems like, we have really many competitive juniors this time," Reina the commander of western lance said as she switched her gaze to another virtual screen, where one could a chubby guy coming out of a gloomy corridor.

"The next year recruiters going to be a hell of guys!"

"Haa...Finally, I am on the last floor!"

I exhaled deeply after climbing up a whole stack of 1000 steps, never in my wildest dreams, I had expected it will be this tough to carry out the climbing process in real life while playing the game.

'Still...if it was previous Ares, it would have been impossible for me to climb 100 stairs not to mention 1000!'

Although the demoness instructor's training was in hell mode I felt grateful for her now, "Let's wrap this up quickly!"

The last challenge was to defeat a dungeon and clear the third floor to exit out of the ruined tower, "It would be nice if someone is there to watch my back."

As if my words are the orders of god, a familiar panting sound resounded from the dark opening as I glanced around to see the sight of the face, "Oh, Coco it's you!"

The slender guy was panting even more vigorously than me as he dropped down beside me, "Haa...young-..master, Ares!"

"You really don't seem to be in the condition to speak now."

"Haa...ye-a-s, but it would be rude to not greet you-ha..."

"I would prefer you to recover quickly than hear you panting like a dog."

Hearing my words he stiffened a bit, however, it appeared to be my reputation was that bad for him to not reply to my words, instead, his eyes just shut for a few minutes.

'If only, not for the dungeon's special qualities, I would have proceeded alone by now.'

After he recovered Coco stood up and extended his hand in my direction as I lazily took upon his help, "Let's ride the dungeon together, that is if you don't mind."

"Young master Ares, I am truly grateful!"

Coco smiled brightly at my words and I thought, 'Rather it should be me who has to thank him, well I will leave that part out for later.'

"Then, let's go."

I took the lead since I am most familiar with this place, we both traveled while sharing our experiences of the first and second floors and in no time we reached a huge plaza with a teleportation circle in the middle of it.

"If we want to raid the dungeon together, we have to hold hands young master Ares while the process of teleportation, or else we will be summoned separately."

As we moved near the illuminating circle Coco's voice fell on my ears and the information was rather new for me, since Lacqurez conquered the dungeon alone in the game, 'His hand is really...slender.'

Rather than describing it as slender, it would be more suitable to say it as limbs of someone that hadn't had good food in a very long time, 'I heard it was a curse for their family to bore the youngest child very weak, I wonder if there is a way to undone this.'

As soon as we came up to the middle of the circle a bright light enveloped my sight and the next instant I knew it was another plane with little to no light in the surrounding, 'All right, it's the same dungeon that I had cleared in the game.'

"This is the real beginning!"

Coco wondered what I meant, "huh? what?" Rather than answering him, I gave instruction to my partner, "Coco, are you able to cast gravity reduction buff on me?"

"Yes, Grav`itas, dimen`otuo!"

Unlike me, Coco had to say the incarnation, and the next moment a red halo emitted out of his staff and enveloped both of us before dwelling onto our bodies.

At the same time, my whole build felt a lot lighter than my previous self then I attempted swinging my arms and kicking my legs in the air and it was incredibly easy to do so.

"Are you ready?"

"What for, young master?"

"For this! Run!"

"Haa!" Out of nowhere, I grabbed this guy's hand and began dashing he let out a surprised voice but soon coped up with my tracks.

"Wait, young master! What are we running for!?"

Seeing us sprint out of nowhere the cadets that were summoned at the precise location as us also began chasing, "And why the heck these guys are catching up to us!?"

Coco's expression was that of bewilderment as he saw the cadets chasing us as if they are hyenas and we were 2 little savory rabbits, "Coco, use the [Crumble] spell as soon as we pass through that juncture."

"All right."

Although the situation was hectic he still chose to follow my orders for which I am rather relieved, the time soon arrived and we sprang past the stony doorway, "Coco, now smash the entrance!"

"Uh,huh! Yes, Lia`labes!"

As soon as we stepped into the entrance, Coco's spell caused the stone wall of the entrance to collapse, looking back, it seemed like no matter how skillful the person was, it would be definitely a tough job to open up a path from all those fallen rock debris.

Despite outwitting my pursuers I continued to bolt and created quite a distance just in case, Coco that had run along felt finally free after we halted and asked, "Why did we run away?"

"Because this is the best route."

"The best...route?"
