Chapter 20 - Part 2 At Dinner

Jaxson and Nitika continue to talk , leaving Brandon out of the conversation. Jaxson was talking to Nitika about her job and about the band she was going to manage, Jaxon looks over at Brandon and could see he was irritated at being left out of the conversation. Nitika could tell Green Eyes was upset to but she didn't care he lied to her , even though he did tell her his real name he never told her he was Jacob West" Then it just so happened he met her at the restaurant earlier that day , Nitika isn't stupid nor was she born yesterday as he might think, she knows he set that up. Jaxson and green eyes are friends so he differently wasn't just there by accident. What she can't figure out what he wants from her " She isn't one of his groupies, or one of his many fans who throw themselves at him. So what's his game , she sits there wondering. If he thinks she's going to spread her legs for him , or fall into his bed like so many of other girls willing to do that he's crazy . This is a new start in her life , and she's not want no relationship, and she's not giving up her virginity for some entertainer who says sweet words to her, and has had God knows how many women in his bed. She wouldn't sleep with her ex boyfriend and she new him since high school. She would never give up her virginity to just any guy , it has to be special" he had to be special" Girls throw themselves at guys like Green Eyes all the time and Nitika wasn't going be his next one she make like his music but she wasn't his die hard fan . Brandon sits and continues to sulk over Nitika ignoring him and just talking to Jaxson . So Jaxson brings Brandon into the conversation talking about his next concert and the release of his next album and single . Nitika was upset with Brandon but after all this was a business and her boss was sitting across from her so she started talking to green eyes. The three of them sat and talked about the company and Jaxson explained to Nitika why they like hiring college graduates to fill job openings and give them a chance when nobody else will. Jaxson told her that he hires people like her because he believes they work harder to prove themselves then hiring someone with experience. He tell her don't get me wrong experience people is good to but college graduates inthis field of work don't get a fair chance so Fast Track Music likes to give that. Nitika thanks Jaxson for the chance he's giving her and others. Jaxson just stirs at Nitika again , he can't get over how beautiful she is. And tonight when she walked into the private room, his dick shot straight up and he couldn't help be speechless she looked freaking amazingly beautiful. Them Brandon kicked him under the table fir stirring at her. But shit he couldn't help it , he hopes Brandon isn't playing Nitika because if he is " damnwell better believe he's going to pursue Nitika. Right now he'll honor the bro code and not step on Brandon's toes for now , but if he hurts Nitika the gloves are on and it's a no holds barred . He likes Nitika to and it's not just because she's beautiful, but she's smart, independent , and she don't take shit from anyone. So fir now he'll sit back and see what happens. Brandon smiles wellhead listens to Nitika talk, she tells them about her parents and what happened and how her grandmother raised her . Brandon can't help think how strong Nitika is to go through what she has and , turned out to be amazing woman. He tells her that but Nitika shyly shakes her head and says the person she is today is because of her grandmother. She explains to to Brandon and Jaxson that it wasn't that easy for her grandmother to take care of her, but Nitika smiles as she thinks of her grandmother" her grandmother always made sure Nitika had everything she needed even if that meant she herself would go without. She tells them her parents left money for Nitika and her grandmother kept it in a trust fund so Nitika could go to college and Nitika earned a scholarship to she had good grades all through high school "But then she then says no matter how hard things got for her and her grandmother " her grandmother never once touched her college fund. And that she never got a chance to pay her back , because when the pandemic hit, covid her grandmother got sick and never recovered. Jaxson and Brandon look at each other but stayed silent listening to Nitika talk. Both by looking at them felt sorry for Nitika, and she saw their faces, please don't look like you feel sorry for me I didn't tell you this to make you feel sorry for me I just wanted to tell you a little about my life , my grandmother was amazing, loving woman and I can never repay fir what she did for me . So with you Sir ,Jaxson she says giving me this opportunity I can't least make her proud and my parents. Jaxson and Brandon say in unison I'm sure they all are looking out for you , and Brandon continues and I'm positive they are more then proud of you Nitika" and then he takes my hand and gives it a light squeeze and I nod yes.
