CHAPTER 12: MEETING EX HUSBAND WHILE WITH CURRENT LOVER
...morning...
Gianna walked down the stairs in a white off shoulder floral dress and white heels. Her hair was hanging freely behind her back.
The workers were here fixing more air conditioners and placing more fans in strategic places. Was he even serious? Gianna stopped in her tracks.
“Leave your room open for efficient changes.” Xavier said walking down past her in a suit ready to leave for work.
“Huh!” she curled her lips. “Where is Zoe?”
“Not yet up. Maybe she slept late!” Xavier walked out.
“How comes you know about her sleeping schedule? Did you sleep together?” Gianna hurried after him. The guards and maids who heard this straightened up and waited for the answer.
But instead, Xavier just walked into the car and didn’t say anything. Gianna didn’t bother much. She had a relationship to take care of and they were out for shopping today. She entered her car, the other cars with guards also followed.
When Zoe woke up and walked downstairs, everyone was looking at her as if trying to find out something. She was confused.
... Second Class mall...
With her status, Gianna wasn’t the person who would be found in second class buildings. Plus, her current boyfriend was the second prince, the president’s second son. But she personally chose to come here to avoid the eyes of the media especially now that their relationship had just started.
Aival didn’t question her choice. He also knew that their we’re many first class malls where they could walk in and do expensive shopping. But, she was a careful lady and he respected her. Even though most men would feel she’s looking down on them by choosing a second class mall when money wasn’t the problem, Aival thought she was being too thoughtful, careful and sensible.
“Why are you punctual even late at night?” Gianna asked as they walked around.
“there is network all around the royal home.” Aival said. Gianna didn’t see that as a good reason since there was strong network at the family villa too. “Am not fond of chatting, only that I find it fun chatting with you. I normally stay online but that doesn’t mean am a cheat right?”
“Sorry I didn’t mean that.” Gianna looked up and the 1.9 meter tall man. “It was just a random question. We can’t walk around in silence can we?”
“Mmh... I didn’t mean to offend you either. You’ll be surprised if you realise you're my only friend on Facebook and you’re the only person I follow on all social media platforms.” Aival picked up a hair clip and attached it on her hair. Even though he wasn’t skilled, it perfectly fit in place.
“Aren’t you that social?” Gianna asked.
“I am. Only that most ladies will show you fake love because you have the money, power, status and looks.” He indeed had both. And as for looks, you’ll look back at him when he passes by you.
The two negotiated a corner and Gianna almost tripped when she saw the person coming towards them. Not wanting to raise any suspicion, she steadied herself and walked side by side with Aival who was carrying the shopping bag. Aival didn’t know Alexander Solace, so he didn’t even know any scandal between then since Alex had blocked all media from circulating their marriage and divorce story.
When they passed him, he pulled on Gianna's hand so hard that she had to stop. Automatically, Aival also stopper and glared at Alex. How dare she stops his girlfriend?
“Umm... I hadn’t seen you!” Gianna coughed awkwardly as she stood between two men. One was the welcoming lover, Aival Quinn and the other was the cold ex husband, Alexander Solace.
This two men didn’t know each other well, but at least Alex knew who Aival was unlike Aival who didn’t know him completely but neither did they know the other's relationship with Gianna.. Alex wanted to guess the obvious, but since he had mistaken the first time Gianna and her brothers, he dared not to conclude. What if the Bardot had a relationship with the royal family?
“Honey, who is he?” Aival broke the silence and asked.
“Umm...” Gianna looked at Alex as she bit her lower lip, then up at Aival. “He's my long time friend who doesn’t associate with the poor.”
Cough!
Alexander Solace wanted to just pull Gianna aside and strangle her. But wait, why did she say that? Did she not want anyone to know she as ever married or she was protecting herself from her lover? The later would be true because of how Aival called her, and how gently he talks to her.
Fuck!
Alexander’s heart raged. How dare she moves on so quickly? Was I that bad?
“He’s the heir of the Solace family, Alexander Solace.” Gianna grounded her teeth in desperation. She has never been caught in an awkward situation like this.
“Ooh... Is he married?” Aival wanted to ensure his relationship with Gianna won’t have anyone interfere with it.
“Mmh... He's married to Victoria even though they’re still planning for their wedding.”
Puftttt....
Alex wanted to faint. If this is a dream, please wake me up.
“Can I get your number, friend?” Alex emphasised on the word friend. Gianna frowned at him so hard, knowing friends won’t be hostile towards each other, she took Alex's phone from his outstretched hand and dialled.
“Let me call you first so you can save my number.” Alex said. Gianna immediately trembled. She had intentionally dialled a wrong number but he saw through her trick. The number was unavailable when he dialled.
“Umm... I don’t know the number off head since it’s still new. Let me confirm.” Gianna stared at her phone pretending to read the number, then smaller again. Alex gave her an evil smile before walking away. Aival looked at his disappearing back before leading Gianna out of the mall.
