CHAPTER 13:
“You were so uneasy when talking to your friend. Is there something I need to know maybe? He seemed shocked too!” Aival asked when they walked out of the mall.
“Umm... It’s been long since we met. He had gone abroad for business purposes.” Gianna lied as she walked towards her car.
“That means the Solace family is great. I’ll search for more information on them.” Aival said.
Gianna now just wanted to cry. If Aival was to search about abroad issues of the Solace, there were none. Alexander has never been abroad. That means, he will see though her lies. She quickly waved Aival goodbye and just sat in the car.
Alexander had come to make up for his broken relationship with Mira. Not that he really cared much, but she was still his sister anyway. So he accidentally ran into Gianna. He actually didn’t pick anything in the end.
“Let’s see if we’re really friends.” A message peeped on Gianna’s phone. When she looked at it, she really knew Alex was up to something.
Immediately Alex walked out of the mall, Gianna kicked open the door with her heels so hard and rushed out. Seeing her coming with an angry face, Alex waited.
“Alex! What was the meaning of that?” Gianna started.
“Is he your new boyfriend?” Alex sneered. “He’s not bad. This time I see you made the right choice. A prince!”
“Alex!” Gianna became emotional, “Alex I loved you for three years, three good year’s. What did you do to me in return? Used me as a walking blood bank for your girlfriend Victoria...”
Before she could finish, Alex yanked his hand at her collar and pulled her closer. All the guards raised their guns uniformly, but the head guard signalled them to be calm.
“Victoria is not my girlfriend, you are my girlfriend!” Alex said with his teeth clenched before slowly letting her go.
“You!” Gianna started to cry. Alexander's heart felt like being pierced a million times by just seeing her cry because of him. “You never loved me, you never cared. Do you know how long I’ve known Aival? Two days... But he’s taken me out for shopping and showed me the love I longed for all those years. You never even bought me a cheap necklace. You never even noticed when I was sick. But he knows when I feel uneasy. He is the complete opposite of you Alex!”
It was true, and from her words, Alex knew there was no lie in it. He truly had wasted her three years and doesn’t even know her favourite colour or food.
“Am sorry and... I’ll make up to you!” Alex lower his voice and said.
Gianna didn’t stop crying, she only stopped looking at him and instead looked away. Then, she turned back to him.
“Alex, I hate you! I hate you with all my heart! May you and your whole family burn in hell! I was the maid at the solace all through the weekend, harassed and humiliated! Your mother and sister made me do the unthinkable, spat on the me and beat me up. When you came back and found me soaking the pillow with my tears, what did you do? Nothing! Completely nothing because that was none of your business. Victoria send me text, calling me slut, home wrecker and barrier between you and her. Why all that? Because you knew I didn’t belong anywhere! I don’t want to see you in my life again Alex!”
it was true he turned a dead eye on her suffering, but his own family did that to her? Alex wanted to explode.
But before he could defend himself, a convoy of cars drove into the mall compound. Xavier didn’t wait for the guard to open. He directly kicked the door out of anger. Who knew the guards had told him what was happening? Gianna directly ran into his arms.
“Alexander Solace,” Xavier said in a cold voice, “the Bardot family will not tolerate this kind of insults with you constantly humiliating my sister. Three years of your fake marriage was more than enough. I hope you exhausted yourself and won’t dare provoke her and the Bardot family again!”
He then slowly walked Gianna into his own car before the guards entered Gianna's car. They both left, leaving Alexander standing in a daze.
...Solace castle...
After the gates opened, Alex drove in with a terrifying speed. He parked carelessly, then walked into the house. His mood was worse than when he left. The guards took the initiative to put the car in place.
Mira jumped to her feet expecting something good from Alex but he made a u-turn in the living room and smashed the glass on the table. Victoria and Katherine all stood up.
“What’s wrong Alex?” Victoria asked.
“Mom, do you still remember where your husband is and where his castle is located?” Alex leaned forward and asked.
“Yes, why are you asking? What’s wrong?” Katherine asked shocked at her own son.
“Good...” Alex made long stride towards them. “Very good. Maids, pack her things and Mira's too. Mama, you’ll show Mira the direction to father’s castle. Am happy to reunite you as a family!”
“Alex, am not leaving this place. First, what’s wrong? Why are you suddenly blowing up? We did nothing!” Mira pouted.
“You want me to remind you that this castle legally belongs to me Mira? You want to argue with me right?” Alex walked to Mira with bloodshot eyes.
“Alex wait, they’re your family!” Victoria stepped in between Alex and his sister.
“You don’t belong here either Victoria! Unless they tell me why they made Gianna the maid in this house for three years, no one is staying here!” Alex blew his nose angrily. How could he not be angry? There were maids here, but he was too busy to even notice the maids were dismissed every Friday and Gianna took up the job from there.
The maids immediately dragged down suitcases of Katherine and Mira.
“Alex you’re not serious!” Victoria stepped aside after Alex walked past everyone and stood with one leg on the first level of the stairs.
