Kaitlyn shook her head and smiled maliciously at me. “Nope,” she replied childishly and I cursed under my breath.
I glared at her face that held a permanently emblazoned smug expression. “You had no right to fill mum and dad’s heads with lies! Why the hell would you do this to me? I thought you and I were friends,” I seethed, my blood practically simmering right now.
She shrugged. “Dude, I was just relaying the information I heard from those that attended that charity event you attended last week. Seth was telling everyone that the woman you were with was your personal assistant/girlfriend. He talks to people who talk to me. And it was mum who asked me to confirm this; she heard it from Mrs. Vanderbilt,” she added nonchalantly and I again released a string of profanities under my breath.
