Chapter 21 - 20 - A God, Sempiternal

Lin

I somehow managed to change my sleep schedule slightly.

It is now 11am and I am wide awake.

Something about one of my dreams I had last time I slept disturbs me somewhat, though.

Usually, I wouldn't talk about such things here, but I must, as I have no one else I can tell.

I saw, within my dream, a band that could be described as a Brezhoneg version of Fleetwood Mac, whose name I can't remember.

I've been told not to research them, as the system has their music down as severely bugged.

All of this, and the adverts in between on that video about the lymph nodes swelling and looking as if the larynx was partially pulled out, and the fact that it looked to be a BBC produced thing, makes me believe that somewhere along the line, it was a cult implant.

I may very well be getting to the bottom of the bin.

Even so, it still disturbs me somewhat, as I get the weird feeling that it was used to take my knowledge of Brezhoneg away, and potentially my voice at that time, too.

It's not like my Maman and Dad hadn't taught me some English.

Either way, it's not pleasant, and right now, because it's unsettling, the whole system is doing clean up.

It's not bringing me the same anxiety as some dreams have, but I think at this point, I may be desensitised to it all.

When I feel ok to, I may just take a shower or bath, to steady myself.

I'll be seeing my neighbour later anyway to watch the wrestling, so that should help.

Also, I watched all of The Bastard Son and The Devil Himself, and fuck, do I somewhat relate to Nathan.

I never really felt like I fit in anywhere.

I would like to know more about my ancestry, my parents, everything... This version of me is majorly out of the loop, and I don't remember everything.

Pretty sure the cult has something to do with that.

But I will regain my memories, and I will get my knowledge of my native languages back.

Because yes, I do want them back.

And I will have them back. Because I am a God, sempiternal.

Nyx hops into my lap, tugging on my hoodie. I stroke her head as she indicates to the altar, so I shift my focus as something appears. I take a closer look, and realise it's the Gaelg flag, along with what looks like a switchblade.

Uncle Desmond!

I'm grinning.

Best birthday present ever.

Only joking.

No, but seriously, I love it.

Cheers, Uncle Des.

I call him my uncle, but he's really my cousin. I guess because of the age difference and how close he is to our side of the family, he became mine and my brother's uncle when we were born.

He's a legend. Surprised that he found my switchblade, though.

He didn't leave a note, but he didn't need to.

This is his way of saying that he remembers.

Considering what to give him, I pull out a silver snake ring, its ruby eyes staring at me.

This will probably ward off any unwanted attention.

I leave it on the offering altar, and it apports.

Trugarez, uncle. I love you.
