Panicked her heart monitor started beeping loudly immediately alarmed the nurses on duty. Few minutes later Doctor's and Nurses were already in the hospital room, surrounded Iris on the bed, calming her down while checking on her vitals.
Certain that her vitals were stabled, they started to conduct all sorts of tests on her and left.
Iris became agitated seeing that she was all alone, and no one is talking about her sister well being, she is scared, very scared.
The door was opened from Outside and in came an handsome looking Man dressed smartly in a Suit. She never thought she will be seeing so soon, dazed while looking at him she had mixed feeling, she doesn't know if she should be happy to see him or sad, what is he doing here? Had he heard about her accident? But that is not possible, she lost contact with him before she left.
Seeing her daze look, Adrian got closer to Iris hospital bed, sat down on the chair beside her bed, crossed his legs while interlocking his fingers. He looked at her for a while sighed and said " How are you doing now?" Hearing his questions she snapped out of her thoughts and blinked " I'm feeling better thanks"
Studying her Adrian tried to see the difference in her now that she regain her memories, seeing nothing different but confusion evident on her face, he concluded that she may be in the processing phase. Adrian realize that he will be the one to brake the news of her sister's demise to her.
He really pitied Ivy's sister, from what he heard of her, she seems like an interesting person which he was interested in seeing but having died young in such manner is really disheartening.
"I saw the doctor on my way here and he told me that the cause of you fainting, was due to you stressing your mental health, which he strongly advised you against doing. But the good news is that you hitting your head while you fainted makes your lost memories to become streaming back gradually and soon she will remember everything you forgot"
In her mind Iris was baffled and thought she was in a dream, because if it was not a dream, she can't ever imagine seeing Adrian right now In her presence talking to her about her health, looking so maturely handsome, she wanted to continue be in a dream but she likes the reality more and she had to find her sister, her sister needs her, so she pinched her to thigh to wake up. Feeling the pain of the pinching, she blinked her eyes rapidly when tears came to her eyes. Astonished she discovered that this was not a dream, Adrian was really sitting here in front of her, how come what is he doing here can anyone tell her " What are you doing here Adrian?" she blurted out subconsciously.
"Excuse me, Ivy what do you mean about what you just said What I'm I doing here? You tell me what can't i do here?" Adrian asked Coldly while glaring at her. Ivy? What does he mean by calling her Ivy, that is not her name but her Sister's name. Or was it before it has been long they saw each other last, is that the reason for the mixed up? No it can't be he had never met with Ivy before, he only heard about her from her, or have they met after she left? It can't be she trust her sister she would have told her about it, because she knows they were together before she lost contact with him.
Waiting for Iris reply but getting non from her, Adrian became visibly irritated and he became assured that the old Ivy is surely back with her attitude. He knows that she was not expecting him but rather one of those men she was cheating on him with.
He never imagined that she could be a selfish, cheating liar, before he got married to her, how could he know? The girl he met those years ago was a nice, caring and selfless girl that was happy to be with, losing contact with her was one of the saddest and painful thing that ever happened to him. He was so lost when he was unable to be in touched with her, he felt he was missing something from his life when She was absent from his life all those times they were not together.
Seeing and getting her back was one of the most important and happiest thing he ever did in his life. Later after spending some time together after their marriage, he found out she was quite different from whom he remembered her to be.
Trying to find out what was happening Iris answered after some time " Sorry let me rephrase that, Adrian when did I get here? Did you save me? Where is my sister, did you also save her? Please tell me where she is, she remembered she was in a bad condition and bleeding seriously after the crash, please tell me that she was rescued. Please I beg you" hold onto him Iris pleaded.
Seeing her so worked up, Adrian had to find a way to calm her down before breaking the bad news of her twin sister death to her.
"Ivy calm down relax, please don't stress yourself remember what the doctor told you that stressing yourself is bad for your health" " Okay, okay I'm calm, I've calmed down, now tell me the condition of my twin where is she?" breathing raggedly Iris asked Adrian while trying to calm herself down.
Sighing deeply Adrian tilted his head up, closed his eye while massaging his forehead. Seeing Adrian this way Iris felt that whatever Adrian is going to tell her will be something she will not like. She made up her mind to find out whatever it will be. She breathed deeply and said " Tell me what it is I'm prepared to find out please tell me" "Are you sure you want to know?" Iris nodded positively "If so you have to get ready because this is something sensitive" he licked his lips and said " Ivy I'm sorry to inform you that your sister Lost her life in the accident"
