"I went to the hospital today and told Ivy that I'm tired of being married to her. I told her I want a divorce and the custody of Ryan."
"Seriously, you said that? But is that not too early at least you could have waited for her to be discharged from the hospital before telling her?"
"It is not easy at all, I can not stand any longer than this, I wanted to divorce her before the accident but I had to go for an emergency trip, then she told me about her sister coming to pay us a visit and then this happens" He shrugged his shoulder then refill his drink.
"And you decided that this was the right time to do so? Your wife just regains her memories her mental health is not stable with the news of her losing her only family member which was her twin sister, she is in a very delicate situation and you told her this? That is extremely bad of you, I didn't expect this from you."Liam glance at Adrian with a disappointed look and shakes his head.
"No, do not give me that look, you are my friend, you know quite well how my marriage with Ivy has been, heck you know it was hell on earth. I had no peace of mind, she is a bad mother with a bad reputation among our circle, she is a cheater."
He looks at his best friend with seriousness and continues "She cheated on me, after all, I have done for her and she had the gut to pretend like an innocent person. You even advised me to divorce her and I refuse no that I told her about the divorce, you are against it?"
"I am not against you divorcing your wife, all I meant was that this is the wrong time to tell her about the divorce, you could have waited till she got home"
"Now that you have told her what did she say," Liam asked with interest to know her answer.
"What can she say? She said nothing meaningful, she was only asking me some useless questions while pretending to be clueless about what she had done"
"Acting clueless, you mean she did not make a scene but she asked questions from you?" Liam asked in disbelief
Nodding his head Adrian replied "Yes but I got no time to answer her, I only gave her some warnings and left that was all" Adrian drank from his drink and made himself as comfortable as he can be on his chair.
"What is your decision on the divorce? What are you going to give her will be of satisfaction to her because I know she will be greedy enough to ask for half of your properties." Asked Liam in amusement.
"Hahaha that is funny, half of what properties my as if that can be possible, I will be taking custody of my son as have said earlier, so she did not have the right to half of my properties even if she could have which is impossible, I and my legal team will fight against her." He continued "I will give her enough money to live her life comfortably, the vacation house in her name will be hers together with two other houses and of course, three cars"
Astonished by what he just heard Liam closed his mouth that was open in disbelief and said " You are giving her that much after all she had done to you? I can't believe it, if I was in your position all I'm going to give will be a few million dollars and what she already got from me" " But you exceed my expectations."
Adrian chuckled and said to his friend "You can't blame me I am still in love with her, not the current her because this current her is like a stranger to me but the old Ivy that I first met, I love her and I don't want her to suffer after the divorce."
"Wow, just wow I'm speechless you are telling me that after what she had put you through, you still love her? You can't be serious, Adrian you got to be kidding me? And people still ask me why I'm still single, all I know is this love you all talk about is not for me"
Shaking his head Liam a grimaced expression continued "Take yours for an example you and ivy said you loved each other and got married with the promise of spending a lifetime together, but what was the result she hurt you so badly you both can not be together again, you want a divorce, what happens to the forever you guys promised each other. I can't imagine myself in love with someone I can't risk it, my heart is too precious to be broken"
Laughing Liam drank from his drink and look up, seeing Adrian staring at him he raised his eyebrow and asked "What? Why are you looking at me that way? what do I say wrong, you won't answer, I don't want love and I will try not to fall in love and live my life happily.
"I won't say much, but I know you can't avoid galling in love then you will understand what I'm feeling right now." Adrian finished off his drink stood up and straightens his clothes and said to his friend " I had to be on my way now, I have a lot on my plate okay bye"
With that he left, leaving alone Liam in the private room.

The following day at the hospital Iris had just finished eating food, she was watching the Television when her door was knocked and in came a scantily dressed Lady with heavy makeup wearing a high stiletto that looks unbearably thin and high.
Iris always wondered how women could wear this and be comfortable walking in it, God knows she can't wear this without falling and embarrassing herself, so she sticks to her flats and trainers.
"Ivy love, how are you doing now, I'm sorry I was not here earlier, I and my new love was on vacation abroad enjoying our life so I did not know. I know you will understand you are a darling " The lady said while hugging Iris.
Iris was looking at the lady wondering, about the type of friends her sister has with the lady's dressing she could faintly understand her lifestyle. And she was not surprised.
