Chapter 123 - Helping Mio by Giving her Books

"Who are they from? It seems that they came from people that you hate." Somi asked with pure curiosity as she also took one of the letters before opening them, but it didn't take long for Mio to answer her question.

"Hate? I don't think that's the right word for that, I'm definitely more irritated than them for a lot of reasons, and that irritation slowly turns to anger when those arrogant fools don't do what I want them to do. As for the reason… all of them basically think that they are just as strong and important as me in this world, which I find really stupid." Mio said before stopping to open one more letter before continuing.

"Maybe the part where they think that they are just as important as me is possible since I still have to give credit to them that if not for them, this world would still be in utter chaos. But as for them saying that they are more powerful than me… that is just pure bullshit. Nothing in the Mortal Realm is stronger than me, actually apart from the Guardian Spirit that resides. She's the only one who is stronger than me of course." Mio said and she specifically specified the word Mortal Realm since that was the truth.

When Somi heard it, she couldn't help but chuckle in response. It was as if Mio was scared of something. But it was also understandable since she knew that there was one person that she couldn't offend, it was also a good thing that she was aware because if she went into the Immortal Realm with that mindset it would be dangerous for her.

"I see… I understand you. Mommy also deals with such people on a daily basis. But why though? From what I'm reading here you are just holding a conference, even if it is a public conference, surely they could attend that, right? Or are they just so petty that they don't even want to attend it?" Somi asked and when she saw Mio nodding her head she began to understand why Mio is always irritated with these people.

"I guess you are right then, people like them are irritating because they are hard to work with." Somi nodded in understanding before placing the letter back and giving it to Mio for her to read them.

But even though the letter that she read was saying a bunch of useless things, they still had no choice but to attend it since it was a special matter considering that it was all about their world.

"Well, it's actually a matter of a Gate that has been active ever since the start of everything, and it has become so strong that it would take a lot of people to take it down because they have made a civilization like us that just keeps expanding. I expect that the Leader of that Civilization is stronger than me, but that is not really the problem at least for me, my real problem is their number." Mio sighed as she put down the last letter after reading it.

"I see… Do you want my assistance, big sis? Even though I can't help you physically I know some advanced knowledge about Beast and Monsters that this world probably hasn't seen before." Somi asked as she looked at Mio and when she heard it, she gasped in shock before lifting Somi in the air and kissing her on the cheeks.

"That would be wonderful! I'm so lucky that Master chose me for this." When Mio said those words, Somi got visibly red after the compliment which made her heart beat even faster due to how cute she was acting right now, she was even trying to hide from her.

But she merely ignored that and carried Somi outside since it was time for her large class to begin finally and after this, the two of them could finally go home and relax. But as they were walking, Mio couldn't help but be curious about how Somi was going to help her, though even no matter what kind of trick she used, she didn't mind. As long as it can give her the same result of defeating this calamity easier, she has no problem with it, even if it is something hard, she wouldn't mind.

"How are you going to help me though? Will you teach me like I do with my students?" Mio asked while they were walking and when Somi heard this. She just looked at Mio awkwardly first before answering her question.

"I… I will give you some books that I stole from Mommy's library." When those words dropped, Mio stopped in her tracks to look at Somi with a clear shocked face.

She would have never thought that the kind and shy Somi would actually steal something from her Mother and it was actually a book, from that Mio got a feeling that it wasn't just a few books. Knowing her personality and her love for books, she must have stolen at least a few dozen, she even thinks that might have already reached a hundred.

Now she understands why she was embarrassed to say it, she also gets that feeling. She is also embarrassed but more afraid every time she mentions her Master in just about anything because she doesn't know if she will ever accidentally offend her or not, and that alone was already a terrifying thought. So she knew exactly what Somi was feeling right now, though it felt like she was more embarrassed by the fact that she stole something which was just truly understandable.

"I see… I won't ask anymore since I know that you don't want to stick to this topic any longer. However I do gotta ask, what are the contents of the books? Weaknesses of Beasts and Monsters?" Mio changed the subject entirely as she knew that Somi didn't want to talk about it any longer.

"Yeah, but that is not just everything. I have read books about Gates already and of course, they have information about Monsters and Beasts, but the information that is listed in there is incomplete. I'm not saying that you messed up though! I'm just saying that it is not complete and they can be better because I know that some things are hidden from this world." Somi said calmly as she then grabbed one of the books that she was talking about before giving it to Mio for her to read.

When Mio saw it, she just looked at it for a second before opening it to read a few lines on it, and after reading it, she already knew that it was going to be a good one. Just from the few lines that she have read, she immediately understood that Somi was right, the things that she knew about Monsters and Beasts were incomplete.
