After reading it for a few seconds, she placed it back in her storage ring before walking inside the giant hall, along the way she passed a lot of students who were also going inside and as she passed students, they all greeted her with a smile on her face to which she just smiled before lifting Somi so that she wouldn't get lost. After that incident, she won't let something like that ever happen again.
When she finally got it, she saw that only half of the seats were taken, and she was annoyed to see that the students were not sitting at the front. Every student was sitting everywhere they wanted making an uneven sitting arrangement as there were a lot of gaps everywhere. However, she can still understand it as she knows the comfort of sitting with your friends, but what she finds annoying is that none of them are sitting at the front, it is either in the middle or just at the back.
But she didn't do anything just yet, she just went over to the stand before grabbing the mic that was prepared for her and speaking into it shocking everyone as no one was expecting such a thing to happen since all of them were already used to her being quiet most of the time.
"All of you who are sitting at the middle and the end, get your ass up here. This is first come first serve, those who are at the end suffer the consequences of being late. I don't care about sitting at the front because you think that I will come to you and ask you questions but by this time you must already know that I don't ask a question that often because I don't like it. Unless we actually have a recitation then I'll ask, I don't even understand why all of you are sitting wherever you want." Mio said as she took a quick pause to look at her students who were now scrambling to get up from their seats to go up front.
"If I were you, I would sit in front so that I can listen better as speakers and TV are not that reliable since you would still want to see and hear better. But it's your choice, though if this still happens I will be forced to give all of you a sitting arrangement that you will have to follow and I'm sure none of you wants it since there is a good chance that you won't be sitting with your friends. That is it, 5 minutes left till the door closes." Mio said as she sat back down again.
When those words came out of her mouth, everyone thought of the same thing. They will just absolutely follow her words then because they would rather sit in the front than be apart from their friends because it would be just too awkward to sit with people you don't know.
Just like that, 5 minutes had passed and Mio had asked the guards standing at the door to finally close it and not let anyone in, meaning everyone who was late could not go in any longer and would be marked as absent.
"That is it, no one is allowed to get in. Now we can finally start, but before we start I want to know from everyone how is the assignment that I have given to all of you coming along, are you almost done with your work or are you just starting right now?" Mio simply asked as she began to walk along the way in the row of students and when she coincidentally walked past Irene, she handed her the mic, which momentarily shocked her.
"I… I'm working on it right now, Teacher Mio. I'm already done halfway but I'm stuck on something, but you don't have to worry Teacher Mio, I'm going to get it finished by the end of the deadline." Irene answered before giving the mic back to Mio.
"I see… How about all of you?" Mio asked all of them and when she heard a loud response from them, to which all of them basically answered that they were already working on it, but they were not on the same level as Irene as some of them were just starting or having a hard time on doing it.
"Well none of you have to worry about that now, I'm going to extend it till next week because some of your teachers have asked me to do it, and I'm only doing this once. So take this chance to make it better, also this means that I won't accept any late submissions from anyone, I don't care if you are sick on that day, just ask your classmate to pass it for you, because I have already given you a lot of time to pass it to me. Two weeks and with that we can finally start." Mio said as she went back to the stand before began writing on the giant whiteboard in front of her.
"Today we will be talking about the other part of Magic Theory… which is basically just the name of it. Theorizing Magic, in this you will know how to better conceptualize your Magic so that you can get much better results when using Magic." Mion finished writing and turned to all of them.
"As we all know, Magic comes from the Soul Realm that is deep within our bodies. Now I have heard something recently from my students of Class F that truly baffled me, I don't understand why but it seems that the education has become twisted." Mio then began writing all the different types of Soul Realm on the board which confused some of them.
"Now if you believe that having a lighter Soul Realm is actually weaker than everyone, that is wrong. I know that some of you won't believe me because I just said but I have historic evidence for this of course, but we will get onto that later. For now, I will explain to you everything in detail about the Soul Realm." Mio took out a long stick and pointed at the first drawing.
"Firstly, we have the Weak Soul Realm, if you are born with this consider yourself unlucky because you are already considered half-dead, and this is because of your Soul Realm being innately weaker, or if it is not weaker you are born with a damaged Soul Realm. The way for you to know this is easy, either you feel pain wherever you use Magic deep inside your body or you are just extremely weak despite your Rank and age." Mio said she then looked at everyone to see if they had any questions and when she saw one of the Teachers raising their hand, she simply pointed at him.
"Thank you for noticing me, Teacher Mio. But if I can ask if you are born with this, is there any possible way to make it better? Because I know someone who has it, from the descriptions that you have given me, it seems that my nephew is showing signs of them." He asked with a calm but deep inside he was nervous for the well-being of his nephew.
"That is sad to hear… but there is a cure… though the cure is very expensive that is not really your main problem, your real problem is whether your nephew can handle the procedures because it is a harsh one. Even though technically this is classified information, I don't really care since I know the creator of the cure anyway, but the procedure is basically having to do a surgery on the Soul Realm." As soon as those words came out of her mouth, the Teacher felt as if all the strength in his body left him.
"You heard what I said, a surgery. This means they will need to fix that Soul Realm by hand and you already know how hard that is, because even the slightest mistake can make it explode, instantly killing that person. That is why I don't recommend it most of the time unless they really want it. But you don't have to worry though, people born with it can still live for a pretty long time, they are just like normal humans, just they are weaker than any average person."
"I see… thank you for your answers. I really appreciate it." The Teacher said with a clear dejected tone as he sat back at his chair.
"You don't need to be sad… you might actually be happy because of my next words. The next Rank is Normal which as the name already said so, is normal. I'd Say that 90-95% of all people are born with this. This is just your typical Soul Realm, but here is where it comes a little different for our Soul Realm, I said at the beginning where I said that the education system is broken, but it doesn't mean that you have a lighter Soul Realm that you are weak, in contrast, you are stronger." Mio said casually as she then showed everyone a glimpse of her Soul Realm.
"See? I have a clear and insanely white Soul Realm. But am I weak? Pfft… of course not. Teacher Roy, I said earlier that you would be happy right, take notes. You can make your Soul Realm stronger by constantly training it, putting strain, just like with your body, but remember this… it is extremely hard to do, but this is much safer than having your Soul Realm stronger through surgery as there is no danger for you. You are just wasting time and energy for this."
Just like that, Teacher Roy who seemed as if he was already lifeless came back to life after he heard what Mio just said.
