"Oh… we're sorry, we shouldn't have asked that…" They all quickly apologized silently as they didn't know that it was something serious. But Mio only shakes her head as she knows that it wasn't their fault for not knowing since this was their first meeting with Somi, anyone would have gotten curious if they were to see someone wearing a blindfold. It was just human nature acting on its own, so Mio didn't blame anyone for that since she completely understood it.
"You don't have to worry about that, I completely understand why you want to ask. But I do hope that whenever you see her again, please don't mention anything about it and just play with her like she is a normal child. She has been so much already and I don't want to add anything more to it." Mio said as she explained to them that she didn't mind their question.
"Yeah, of course! We will definitely take care of her in the future, Lady Mio. But if I can ask, you're speaking like we will meet her so confidently, may I ask why?" Xian'er asked with a curious gaze while looking at Somi in the best way she could to try to make her as comfortable as possible.
As for Somi, because she couldn't really see anything she still chose to wear her old blindfold, so she couldn't really see that Xian'er was looking at her, but she does know that someone was looking at her because she could feel it. So she only showed a little smile as a courtesy before hiding behind Mio's long legs.
"About that… I actually plan on making her come with me, that means even at the Academy. She will stay by my side because of that." With just those words, she made all of the students in front of her believe what she just said. Though in their perspective it was obvious and they even felt stupid for asking such a question.
Their Teacher had already said to them that her little sister was blind, so at that point, it was only natural if she brought her to the Academy because no one was going to be taking care of her while Mio was out. To think that they actually asked such an obvious question made them embarrassed which earned a chuckle from Mio because she didn't think that these students of hers would also have such a side to them.
She knows how serious all of them were when it came to their academics, so seeing them act like this still made her feel good as an adult because the fun of being a kid and teen should never be taken away from them. No matter the situation is, even like this where the World is in constant danger, they should still be able to live what they want and not what their parents want them to do or be.
"Well it seems that our little chat has come to an end now because the line is now super long," Mio said as she then pointed behind all of them and saw a massive line piling up because of their little chats, this made them act quickly and began to order all the food they want as fast as possible. But when they were about to pay for their food, they found that it had already been paid for by someone.
"Excuse me, but can I ask who paid for our meal?" Irene directly asked the cashier because she was confused, but then she remembered the person who was in front of her. Thinking about this, there was only she who could have paid for their food since she was the only person who went ahead before them, so she silently thanked her in her mind before walking away, but she was stopped by the cashier.
"The person that you were talking to was the one that paid for your meal. Also, can I ask you to return her card? Because she left it here to pay for your food, she's just over there." The cashier asked as she then handed Irene a black card with purple carvings all over it.
When everyone saw it, they immediately got confused because this was the first time they had seen this kind of card. All Cards were colored black, but to differentiate them, they had different colored carvings all over their body. No carvings meant it could only hold about 10 thousand dollars, blue was 100 thousand, red was 100 million, and gold was up to 100 billion. So seeing a purple carving was really unusual because it was the first time that they had seen something like that.
But what they didn't know was that a purple-colored marking only meant one thing and it was infinite, there was an unlimited amount of money in it. Mio knows that no one will be able to recognize such a card since there is only one in the world and she is the only one who holds it since she is the maker of all Black Cards that can transact money easily.
Even though they were confused, they still went to look for their Teacher, they wanted to know why she would pay for their food even though it was just a sign of her goodwill, plus they wanted to ask her about her black card with purple carvings around it.
"Lady Mio? Here is your card and thank you for paying for our meal, it must have been expensive for you. But can we know why you paid for it? We only met a few times and I believe that we are not that close just yet." Sana asked as she handed the black card back to Mio who was quietly eating her own food while helping Somi from time to time to eat her food.
"Don't think too much about it. Think of it as a reward since all of you really surprised me with your grades, I have looked into all of your past grades, and to say that they were great is an understatement. I'm glad that I can have students like you, so work harder and never slack." Mio just shrugged it off, she was rich anyway and she could throw in as much as money she wanted and she would still be able to live for another thousand years without worrying about anything.
"You can eat at our table, it's enough to fit all of us." Mio smiled as she tapped the table as a sign for them to sit at her table to eat their food.
All four of them looked at each other before nodding their heads and sitting down at the table. Irene and Lucy were sitting together on the other side, and Xian'er and Sana were sat next to Somi. Mio moved and sat on the top middle of the table, this made it look like they were having a small family gathering.
"Hello! My name is Liao Xi, but you can call me Xian'er! It's nice to meet you, Somi!" Xian'er who just taken her seat already has introduced herself to Somi who was just quietly enjoying her meal.
"Hello, my name is Somi Nanase…" Somi said quietly as she continued eating her food. By far this was the most delicious food that she had eaten apart from her Mother's own cooking, every food was delicious even though she could tell that they were unhealthy. But she still enjoyed it since this was only going to happen to her a few times.
